I'm planning on getting a Tokyo Marui Thompson from these guys. Anyone know if they're evil or anything like that? Thanks.

I ordered one grouping of M-14s from them. Their intial price on the guns themselves were awesome but they killed me on shipping. It took three weeks to get the guns (may have been a Customs delay) and when the guns arrived all of the guns had Chinese prong battery chargers (which are worthless over here) Every gun was cross wired as were the batteries so naturally the batteries didn't charge and even when you used a charged battery nothing happened when you hooked them up. This isn't Gunner airsofts fault but when I contacted them about it their response was... oh well.... Fortunately once I figured out what the problem was. (Miserable process of elimination) It was a fairly easy fix. My local airsoft retailer was very helpful in this regard. (Sirplus Airsoft Supllies in Woodinville washington) But it was time consuming and mostly just a disconcerting hassle.
I would have expected them to be a bit more supportive and responsive. I had after all bought six guns from them! Good thing I checked the guns out before converting them or shipping them out!

So there is just a problem with the batteries? And if I have the same problem I'd be screwed cause there are no airsoft shops around here. Just paintball. So if I do have this problem what can I do?

In the guns that were messed up it was both the battery and the gun that was crossed wired. Very weird. Apparently the smaller Tamiya clips for mini batteries function the opposite way Black to square hole, red to round so whoever assembled them probably just did it the same way for both. If you ordered a gun and it came in that way you'd know, cause your batteries would simply never charge and the gun wouldn't fire even off a charged battery (The Tamiya link would snap together but the connections would be reversed.) Hence no juice where you need it. The only thought I would have would be to take the gun to a Hobby Shop that handled RC cars. A Marui Thompson would undoubtedly be fine as it's a production issue not a distribution issue Marui guns are almost without exception perfectly assembled.

Many of the guns Gunner Airsoft handles are the newer Chinese clone guns which are constantly improving and getting to be a better and better value but are still experiencing some teething problems that require a luittle more support then an overseas distributors is likely to give you. The established brands (especially Marui) are going to be fine and I'm sorry if I scared you a little on your purchase. The only other concern might be Customs as I noticed Gunnerairsoft doesn't put much of an orange tip on the barrel ends and while that might seem like a good thing it won't if the gun doesn't comply with regs and clear US Customs. For Thompson I think the logo trademarks are okay as I don't think Thompson is still in business but if I'm wrong and they are and Gunner airsoft doesn't cover everything on the gun and pakaging that says Thompson you're not going to see the gun as it will be seized by our treasury department. (US Customs, Now a department of homeland security)

Well customs can kiss my ass! If they take away my gun I better get a refund or something!

^^LOL^^ take it easy. I would suggest buying form www.kapowwe.com. Their price for the Thompson is alittle higher than some other places, but they are located in Texas, so customs will not be a problem, and you can get free shipping with one of their free offers. I bought my thompson form them and they are very reliable.

If Customs seizes your gun even through no fault of your own. You're hosed. If you contest the seizure if there is any technicality whatsoever even the most minute they will confiscate your gun and ptobably your entire order. There is nothing ABSOLUTELY nothing you can do.
The orange tips gunnerairsoft is putting at least on the M-14s I'm getting are not technically compliant They are not a bright enough Blaze orangge and they do not extend deep enough. They're about 1/4 inch of depth is all. I'm concerned that one of these times my orders isn't going to get through.
Most of the time a private party ordering a single gun will be fine but it sucks when you're the exception. I had one delayed and held for several months prior to release and probably never would have seen the gun if it hadn't been for a great deal of active and aggressive lobying on my parts. Research and clarity of the law with a bunch of copies of various regulations (Often contradictory) forwarded to the port in san francisco where the gun was being held. (TOP M-60)

I'll just order from someone else because I don't want to risk that. Thanks for the advice.

DO NOT ORDER FROM GUNNER AIRSOFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered an AGM MP40 and paid $67 for 3-5 day shipping. Well....today is the 29th and still nothing. What a piece of trash that guy running the place has to be. He doesn't even reply to any of my emails since I paid him. I am going to file a paypal complaint I don't receive the item or hear from them in the next 24 hours.

Uhm that post was totally pointless. If you look and see I said "Ok I'll just order from someone else.." which would mean the problem was resolved. Anyways I'm getting one from a member here on the boards.

You know...it's called a 'relevant thread' and instead of posting a new thread, I thought I would add to one already on the topic.....I was not only informing you, and thank YOU for a pointless post.

I have never had any problems with Gunner airsoft (other then those mentioned in my posts) I have received three large complex orders from them. Customs sometimes delays overseas shipments and sits on them for an extremely long time. This is neither the importer or the exporters fault. It's extremely discouraging of course but no ones fault. If this frightens you. Buy from a domestic supplier and pay a little more for the risk THEY incure. Indys post was a fair and legitimate warning to everyone, Pvt Neville not just a reply to your concern and I think perfectly worthwhile in this thread.
Incidently we are probably all wondering did you both finally get your guns?

I placed my fifith large order with Gunner Airsoft and for the first time incurred a serious mistake. I had ordered a real wood optional stock for a M-14 along with a real wood stock for one of my Thompsons. There were other items ordered as well. Everything was as I ordered it except instead of a real wood accessory stock they sent me a complete "simulated wood" M14 Marui knock off. (The KART Variation) It will work for my conversion but it's not ideal and I was at the time kind of up to my eye balls in clone M-14s. I e-mailed them with their mistake. Within a couple days they apologized and offered to ship the correct item immediately (which they did) and asked that I in turn try to sell the KART. made them an offer on the Kart which they accepted and everyone walked away happy. I must say I was very impressed with their handling.
How a compnay reacts when things go wrong is more telling to me then when everything goes right. I recommend Gunner Airsoft to enyone ordering overseas. They are slow to respeond to inquiries but are a good retailer.
