OK, I know that there is already a thread on this, but I didn't want to nerco so here it goes.
This may be a touchy subject but I want to get this point across.
You may be aware of my friend's bad experience with Airsplat but in case you aren't here's the story:
My friend ordered a ICS off of Airsplat. It worked fine for about a week after he got it and then it started falling apart. The battery would only stay charged for about 30-45 minutes maximum. When he tried getting help from them they would a.) not respond, or b.) respond with "Not right part of store emailed " or "Can't help you" email. Come to find out, it wasn't even an ICS they sold him.
Well, just got back from a back yard game and another bad ending. Not one, but BOTH of his guns failed.
First his AK-47 went out. It won't fire, it just makes a sound like that of a dentist drill. The conclusion: Faulty gears and piston. Next was his gas pistol. The pin holding the slide, barrel, and hand guard together fell out. The gun was fixed, but now will not fire BBs, only gas.
My experience: I received an M16/M4 mag from another airsofter. It came with his gun, but he said that it wouldn't feed very well. Hey another mag can't hurt right? Wrong. While using it today I put it into my gun and getting the enemy in my sights I fired. "Clack" nothing. Again, "Clack", one BB. After that the mag refused to feed. Upon getting it home I looked in to find the BBs crammed two by two like animals heading towards the ark. I took it a part to find that the spring and the insides were warped. Why does this pertain? It was a mag purchased from Airsplat.
Conclusion: Like I said this may be a touchy subject, but my only intention was to share my experience. Has anyone else had bad experiences or is our area just a victim of circumstance? I would just like to warn everyone to walk on the side of caution.
P.S. I would like to make clear that the errors with our guns and accessories were not inflicted by us. We are a respectable group of airsofters and treat our guns with the utmost respect. Thank you.
