Another what should I do question : What would you suggest I concentrate on more? Should I do Vietnam or WWII airsoft. There are no units of WWII airsoft here but there are a few Vietnam airsoft units here. Would you recommend I buy ‘Nam stuff and play now or get WWII stuff and not play until I make it back to the United States in a few years? I can’t decide because I like historical airsoft but I like WWII history more than Vietnam War history. But I still want to play airsoft right away. Click

Pick up some cheap nam stuff so you can play, but don't stop collecting stuff for your WWII impression.

Well I do Vietnam here in the US, and I think since there are units there in poland already, you should Vietnam. But you don't have to spend a lot on it, slowly build a WW2 impression.

Depends on what you are doing. Most people on these boards say WWII is way more pricey than vietnam, but on the other hand, i think they can equal out. My Vietnam Marine loadout (1967-1968) cost 220.00 for my m61/m43 webgear, 50.00 for my jungle fatigues, 60.00 for my jungle boots (dated 1968), m55's can cost anywhere from 50-200.00 dollars and lastly a 25-40 dollar steel m1 pot. If you are doing infantry, it is likely cheaper to get m56 gear for 100.00, but as I said, if you want a basic/full marine loadout, it will cost you around what it would for a basic/full WWII infantry loadout. INO, i like Vietnam. Warmer climates= summer time, more time to get outside and airsoft. I like WWII, i am really busy during the winter. If you want vietnam info go to incountry.ca

Don't but Nam stuff from online vendors.
Hunt around flea markets. I put my entire Nam kit together for maybe 60.

Click Btw 101st, I have am on their boards and have asked around abit about Namsoft gear. That is how I know that there are a few units in Poland.

Yeah, for some reason, there are way more namsofters up in Canada, in the Czech's, and some good units in Poland. Nimlas is correct, it is cheaper to get stuff from "flea markets" or stop by your local surplus store. But you usually dont find rucks, or m61/m43 gear at flea markets. Drop trey an email at moore militria, he can hook you up, and really nice guy. Dont be afraid to ask questions. Also, watch out for ebay, good stuff on there every so often. I am really into Vietnam, as much as i am im WWII. But went in thinking vietnam would be cheaper, but really its about the same. Its mainly on what you want to do, not really the cost. Army is cheaper, but marine will even you out towards a basic/complete infantry WWII loadout.

The weather here is basically the same as in 'nam. During the war the army trained here, and experimented with orange gas and such.

DIE THREAD DIE!!!! I believe Click is still an active member on the forum, so he's probably still sticking to WWII. mabye a good idea would be to pm him?? you'll get the most direct answer, he probably wont be annoyed too much by it, and you're not pullin' up old threads.

Harvey And they say the literacy rate is increacing these days Harvey, this is not the the place to ask that question. If you are going to bump a thread that has been inactive for over 6 months then at least make it a legitmate post that contributes or is related to the topic. And to answer your question, no they are not. Just get quality bb's (excell, airsoft elite, ect). It costs only a few bucks more, are better for you gun, and will perform better. If you're going to cheap out on anything, dont make it bb's. Carrying on... <YD>
