Alright, I got my gun today. I've only played with it alittle bit, and I'll post pics soon. here is my first impressions:
The gun weight is nice, of course not as heavy as the real steal, almost feels 1/3 the weight.
Loading the gun is allittle tricky, but not that hard tho. it seems that you cant put in a clip that isn't full.
Shooting the gun is great. you can see the action fly back with every shot, and the clip popping about 2 inches into the air is cool.
It seems that the amount of gas that you'd put into a pistol clip isn't enough for this gun. I dont know the correct amount to put in yet.. and I don't want to experiment, cause I don't want to blow any seals on the gun.
The gun Field strips just like the real one! and even has the space in the butt to put your cleaning supplies.
Most of the stock is held in place with 1 screw. so, toward the middle of the gun, were the wood is farthest from the screw its alittle wiggly. and the end of the barrel is wiggly. I haven't found out where it is held in place so I can tighten it yet.
I'll give a more in depth review after I've had a chance to play with it some more.

Ok, After fingering the gun abit more, I have to say, it is my favorite gun.
You can even put the bayonet on it. the shooting it with the light .34 bbs it tends to curve more than if you use the .45 bbs. it is alot more accurate with the lighter bb's than the Carbine is.
And the wiggling is no longer a problem, I took the gun completly apart and after putting back together it is no longer wiggly.
Pros: - has real wood stock and mosly metal - works and feels just like the real steel - accurate with long range
Cons - shoots only 245 fps - clips look like they'll brake if you land/step on them. this could cause a problem storing them in the cartidge belt.
I give this gun a 9 3/4 out of 10

Is it shooting 245 with .2's? I use .43's In my APS2 scares the bejezus out of the opfor when they hear them whistle by. Never heard of .45's

The M1 uses 8mm bbs. so the there are only 2 different wieghts. .34 and .45.
It will go 245fps with .34's

hmm interesting. I have no exper. with the 8mm stuff. What kind of effective range are you getting with that? Just because it goes slower doesn't mean it is not just as effective as an AEG with .2's Savoy just finished an article for our group about US impressions on the cheap I may have to do a dual impression here.

well, it seems to get alittle bit better range, but I have to do more testing.
I know the bb's tend to go straiter to the target using the bigger bb.
I only use 134a gas. I dont want to risk breaking any seals using red gas or Green gas brand gas.

So the gas goes in the clips and the clips are flimsy? Hmmm... Is there a hop up? I have to get this gun but I have to wait till my site goes active so I can recoup some cash. Keep us posted Buzz on any new developments with the Garand.

greetings from norway, big ww2 buff, been airsofting for about 2 years now, and have several "kits" modern us, nowegian and and SWAT, big fan of milsim and all that,
and i have finally desided to start with ww2 airsoft, sadly only a handfull of people are doing this in norway, the only reason I haven't done ww2 airsoft before was "no garand" i have now orderd this and is waiting for the second batch form redwolfairoft, i'm also gonna have a big order form atthefront, ops I went on a rant, my question is the same as from Gordak how many clips can you fire on a "full tank of gas" before you have to refill it?

Well, I havnt figured out how much too put in yet, I put 3, 3 second jabs of gas in, and that seems to last 3 clips.
When I go on the field, I will have to bring the gas with me.

Is the magazine the same size as the real clip May be one could replace the plastic clip to the real one Just wonder if one could bypass the gas store and attached a larger storage tank inside the bult stock??? It would be great to have a larger gas storage for shooting more clips Anyone know when the Redwolf will has the 2nd batch ready to ship out? ScreamingEagles ;D

I emailed them like 2 minutes after the 1st batch ran out, I asked when they'd get more. they said Next week. and right on monday, I got the email that the gun was shipped. I got the gun on Thursday. It really blows that Sams gun is stuck in customs, When ever I order from redwolf I get the order is less than 5 days.
So maybe cause I was so fast in emailing them about it, they sent it too me.

Great review Cpl. Mills and great pictures too!! I heard that you can select the clip ejection function, meaning you can turn it off so the clip does not eject. Is that true? Ejecting clips is a great feature but would slow you down in a fire fight (picking them up).

OMG this thing ROX!!!!!!!!! Just got mine, They are AWESOME!!!!!! IT holds a bit more gas than a doble stack pistol wood, I bet 3 mags per fill....
Mags are also hard to get unfortunatly. (sold out everywhere)
This is a Killer gun, Marushin kick's Top's ass so far as making ww2 airsoft guns goes.
I think the garand could be moded to have an extra tank in the stock, OR you coudl ev en go external. -Gordak

external is out of question for me, but an extra tank i the stock would be nice. i read over at arnies that the fps jumps up and down, from under 300 to over 400,

Every gas pistol I have ever owned, including my K98 , has a Built in safety feature that will release Excess gas out the fill nozzle when its full, instead of blowing any seals. So unless marushin makes total garbage, I would think that they have added this relatively Cheap safety feature to the garand as well. HOWEVER. If you are truly worried that this will be a real problem, and you don't want to take the risk, than wait for me to order and receive mine. I will Charge mine all the way up with both 134A and then Green gas, and post the results. I wont be able to afford Mine for another 7 days however.
