Well, I know this is out of your range, but maybe just a thought. I have been hearing fantastic things about 2ndbat's AEG garand. he's selling for about $700.
Another option is the grease gun. not the most reliable, but still a pretty good weapon.

Thanks for the nice plug. At 695.00 the Garand AEG is expensive but for a custom limited production gun (So far less then 30 produced!) using lots of wood and real steel it's about half what you'd typically have to spend. Also with it's marui AEG performance, it's reliable, accurate, competitive and easy to own, upgrade and repair if the need arises. I am not a business in the sense that this is what I do for a living. I'm literally building these to promote living history and airsoft and I enjoy doing it. I am absolutely keeping the costs as minimal as possible so as many people as possible can enjoy these guns.
I will be delighted and surprised if 100 of them end up out in the marketplace so it is a truly limited edition item.

Shootnscoot seems to be in GBP, not Euros. This would make all the prices almost double in USD. The sten would cost around $730 plus shipping. £ = GBP. € = Euro.
