battery holding a charge depends on the battery. Higher MAh last longer. You can find an RC car charger on ebay that will do the job might I suggest the MRC superbrain will work both AC and DC

I would go with an 8.4 3600 mah. Thats what I use in my thompson and it lasts all day and then some. Thats with the custom blowback kit we installed on it too.

It seems to me after some unofficial and uncontrolled testing that the Mahs interestingly seem to correspond to the number of rounds I seem to get after a full charge. A 1200 Mah battery seems to give me about 1800 rounds. A 3000 Mah battery seems to get me about 4500. A 800 Mah mini battery seems to provide about 1200 on a single charge. There are lots of factors of course that effect how many rounds you'll get (temperature and how aggressively you fire, how long your bursts are and how much relaxed time there is between bursts) but to me it seems the mah come close to representing about 3/4 of the rounds you can expect to get.
Remember to go with a fresh charge as batteries drain slowly as they sit. Most of my batteries are 3000 mah and have no problem lasting all weekend even at a 2 day event.
