very nice review mauser..you did a great job!! I enjoyed reading it..now I wished I waited instead of spending 300.00 for the TM...the chinese are taking over the airsoft market and building some affordable nice weapons for air softers..the uniforms are also of descent quality and cheaper..lets hope they make an aeg m1 carbine

good to know that this gun really is as good as it seems. I can sleep easy knowing I sold my TM for $365 and can get a gun of near same quality for half the price.

Selling a TM Thompson now while it'll bring reasonable money was a good call. I'm surprised you got that much for it frankly!

While I'm glad to see an affordable Thompson out there, I'm holding off replacing my TM while there is still a chance to convert it to a 1928A1. Is there anyplace that the CAW conversin kit is available?

Ok, well Im thinking off getting a Tokyo MArui Thompson, but I also wanted to get one of these for a custom job to a Chicago Typewriter version, www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1849 , but what I dont understand is why the CYMA Thompsons go for so much on ebay, but on gunner airsoft, and Cobra Airsoft they go for about 85 $. Are they all the exact same company??? Sorry for bringing up a semi old post

Do you have a TM Thompson as well? How do they compare What would you say the upgrade ability of the CYMA would be? I just picked up a TM Thompson, and my wood kit and extra mags will be here in a fews days.
Also, I have a star sa80, so I am used to heavy weapons. This thing is a little more then half of its weight, but it is uncomfortable, maybe its because I am used to my sa80 ^.^
Cybergun = evil as far as company's go btw, but I do not want to go into that.

Big 5 Sporting Goods sells these metal Thompson AEG's now. That's very good news for China and us. To have a major US retail chain selling a Chinese Marui clone can only encourage more to come......BTW they were on sale for 149.99 all week (regular price 249.99).

Hey mauser, is the charging handle plastic, I just read a review of the Cybergun and it said that that it was plastic. Ive held one but I can't seem to remember if it was plasic or metal. It is metal though, right?
Well, that was a bit of a necro post.

Open lid on top of mag pour in bb's wind little wheel at bottom of mag till it gives you an awkward clicking sound insert in gun pull trigger till all BB's are gone or pistol grip becomes warm wash, rinse, repeat....perhaps you could be a bit more specific in how they are not working please.

Thank you very much, it isn't that it isn't working, it's just it always jams and not sure how i load it properly.

I just explained loading hope that helps. Not sure about the jamming part. Perhaps something caught up in the gears a stray peice of plastick or the like.

How often do you have to keep winding?

|
|
Post by CharleyNovember on Dec 22, 2008 1:49:39 GMT -5
wind the living crap out of it till the clicking changes sound. It will be a distinctive and different sound. You should be able to shoot 100 or more rounds before you have to wind it again. I have heard good things about the KA 110 rounds on here as a matter of fact in the review section.

Is there any Drum Magazine for the Cybergun Thompson AEG? Also, does anyone know where to find a front pistol grip for it too?

The CYBERgun Thompson is a replica of a M1A1 Thompson and it was not set up to accept or use the drum magazine or the front pistol grip. The drum was available for the M1921 and M1928 which had a different receiver group and mag channel.
