I recently saw this movie on TV (I now have like 500 channels ;D ) and I saw an incredible, heart-breaking movie. This movie is about The Japanese invasion of Burma, I think, and it revolves around the Allied POW's (Mostly British, and the Yanker!). This movie is very graphic, stretching from guys getting shot in the face, to a British POW getting crucified! It shows the hard times they have been through, including the building of the railroad to India, and taking care of themselves AND their Japanese counterparts after allied bombings. But, it does show a good side to the Japanese soldiers, and not just the suicidal, heartless monsters you're used to watching.
There is not too much action, but the uniforms used where very authentic. A good plot, and historically accurate film. Overall I would give it an 8/10. But I would not reccomend it if you have a weak stomach or are not into films basically taking place only in the camp.
