It is a great game, been a mod on the forum for quite a while and have known this game months before release. It is a fantastic game, it is the most realistic ww2 SQUAD combat shooter I have ever played. I saw an ingame screenshot of BIA3 in OXM, and holy crap it looks like a photo! www.brothersinarmsgame.com

Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Btw you should get BIA2 for another system, they really toned it down for the ps2 users

yeah i have both Brothers in Arms 1 and 2 for xbox, clearly the best WWII game ever! Blows Call of Duty and Medal of Honor out of the water, I give it a 11/10, the begining of each game is a little sketchy i think because you dont get a weapon, and you only in feilds, but when you hit the towns and begin shooting your rifle its the applesauce , from the 2nd one, i learned to love the BAR "redd's" weapon in the game. One of the best weapons, too bad the JAC i heard isnt reliable and if i did by from him, its too expensive, i guess im stuck with bakers Thompson, haha well yeah best game i have ever played, this game, and the movie Band of Brothers got me interested in the 101st.

I strongly disagree with you, Call of Duty is by far the better game, imo. I've never played BiA 2, but CoD 1, hands BiA 1's ass on a platter...

Call of duty 1 for PC or for console? on Console, BIA wins by a long shot. on PC I think they're about even. you gotta remember that the COD games are completely different games from console to PC - only the names are the same.

BIA on the PC beats ANY COD GAME! Not only is the story more interesting and easy to follow, but when Baker yells "Supress those bastards!" it is just too awsome! I wish Ubisoft would make a series on the Rangers.

well i have only played both for xbox, but like COD and Big Red One is so unrealistic, the guys run funny, there is too many gliches, theres only one guy that like talks during battle and he isnt even in command. On the other hand, ive seen PC and it looks alright, and COD 2, looks amazing, even on the demo! but i have to see BIA 3 to see the real winner. I say for now BIA is better, not by much.

I've been playing both the CoD and BiA series since they first came out (PC). You must remember that the CoD series and the BiA series are completely different. CoD is an arcade type shooter that is just for fast-paced and extremely fun action. BiA is a very realistic squad based game that invloves strategy and a lot of time. I thoroughly enjoy both series because they each offer me something different. When I am in the mood to run 'n gun and kill lots of jerries I play CoD. When I have more time and want to play through a game that challenges me to think about every move I make, I sit down and play BiA.
I love that the BiA series is based on actual events, people, and places and I enjoyed all the bonus material in both games. It was very neat to see all the period photos compared with modern photos and then compared again with models in the game. If you are arguing about which game is more realistic, the obvious choice is BiA. If your are arguing about which game is "better", that is just personal opinion. Don't bash one or the other. They are both wonderful game series that deserve to be played.

no, no, no, CoD1 for PC is my favorite game. I got a bad vibe from BiA, becuase it seriously is like playing football. CoD2 wasn't as good as i thought it would be, and all the CoD games on the xbox suck. TBRO is a pretty cool game, I was addicted to that for like 4 months. I like CoD becuase it plays somthing mroe than a paradrop game. Of course CoD has paratroopers, but it also has Russians, British, French, Italian in the series.

Only the Big Red One has Italians. It also features the French.
Now, I found that the soldiers I commanded in BiA were a little...stupid. They didn't really find cover very often unless I told them too and they would run standing in full view from one area of cover to the next while a German machine gun was raining bullets on us. Is it just a bad disc or has anyone else experienced this?

no, the AI in brothers in arms is very good, i mean sometimes they dont react well, but for the must part they do a good job, I like COD as well, because the AI reacts for itself, and you dont have to command a squad which is alot easier, but BIA seems more of a traical game if you would say, i like tatics, but also i like to follow others than telling my squad wat to do, i like both games, but BIA i say, im my opinion, comes out on top do to graphics (xbox, not pc) and how realstic it is, the old COD sucked because everyone was stupid and would die within the first 2 minutes of a mission and you would be like an agent, which was a Medal of Honor type game play, but the new ones like Big Red One, which is okay, but even better COD2, are well worth playing

I've only played the first one, and while it was cool to have the two squads and the command ability combined with fps, it seemed to get quite monotonous by the end. using very similar tactics for every scenario.

Cod2 for xbox 360 is the best !!! I heard that cod3 has hand to hand combat, interactive environment and vehicles and will be able to hold 24 players per game, and will have more interactive and realistic deaths...(meaning that there will be bullet holes and no more blood splatters and flips more drama). Top that BIA guys.

I don't see why you guys are arguing over which is best or worst. All these games are a little different and they are all fun!! You wouldn't want every game to be exactly the same would you? I'm just glad they keep em coming . Schmitty

Yea but cod 3 isnt out yet. , and either is BIA 3, but there's actually lots of media out for BIA3 right now, and it's crazy. Just look at the previews, it's the shizzy. BUT BUT BUT BUT, they're all great games, even the ones not out yet, ;P. Also in BIA, you can either have a bazooka team, a 30 cal team, or a mortar team. Its great, and the WHOLE environment is destructable, so no more hiding beneath the wooden boxes noobies! media.xbox360.ign.com/media/773/773087/vids_1.htmlP.S. This is all coming from a BIA moderator/Fanboy, so I am always on the trigger finger, LOL

I borrowed my frineds BIA for the ps2, and I own CoD 1 and CoD 2 Collectors for Ps2, and I have to say, the AI is much stupider in CoD than those in BIA. I would play multiplayer with my brother(me axis, him allies) and the cpus were pretty smart. It felt much more realistic than CoD in which(at least on ps2) yo could just run right past some enemies and may not even get shot at. In BIA you utilize covering fire, moving from one position to the next, flanking and much more that you dont get from CoD on ps2. I have also played CoD 1 for pc, though, and the game was very good. I also played CoD 3 on 360 and that also was good. But on ps2, BIA is much better than CoD.

You guys have to realise that the CoD games for the console was not made by Infinity Ward. They hired Treyrarch to make the console games (Other than CoD2). Finest Hour and TBRO were not made by IW, which is why they aren't that good. I always liked TBRO, but CoD Finest Hour I did not like. The console games are not officially made by IW, they had a separate company make them.

I have CoD Finest hour for the game cube and it takes about 3/4 a thompson mag to kill one guy and it the same SS guys in every level.

BiA is Great, but it's pretty unrealistic when a guy gets killed and he lays straight, like he's in the position of attention, and then the guy that gets killed always comes back in the next mission. Imean, what's that?

In CoD 2 on ps2, I hate sniping. It is so lame that if you try and jump behind some cover the you can still be shot. And the crosshairs move with enemy targets automatically, so if Im aiming at one certain guy it could move away to something moving. BIA had great sniping, the level with the church tower, the shots were very realistic to how sniper rilfes worked in those days. I agree I dislike the way they just flop down from other weapons, but with a sniper rifle it looks pretty realistic.

BiA was supose to be the most realistic WW2 game out there. but so many things are off.
MG42's super accurate, BAR insted off .30 cal, !!!!3-5 SHOTS FORM A 30.06 M1 GARAND to kill a german!!!!! and many more things

!!!!3-5 SHOTS FORM A 30.06 M1 GARAND to kill a german!!!!! it only took one shot - the aiming and recoil were realistic and you were missing with the extra shots.

the BAR Red got was out of a glider plane, it was in the computer version, and not in the xbox verison. (I have both) If you notice Red gets his leg bag on D-Day in "Earn in Blood" and he gets out a m1 carbine. Now back to "Road to Hill 30" After you take out the polls to let the gliders land on D-Day, Red walks up to you and says "Baker, I found this BAR in that glider over there." (in the computer verison)
