Is Forgotten Hope 2 even out yet? I dont think so, so its hardly an alternative.
That screenshot of WWIIO looks extremely old, and is barely recognizable to what it is now. The graphics arent great, but they are far far better than what that screenshot shows. The gameplay in that is amazing, I came over from playing Battlefield and its definately a struggle at first.

Battlefield is such a smaller game, WWIIOL has a much bigger scale.

huge map is a gigantic understatement. I wasn't kidding when I said it is 1/2 scale of Europe. Gordak, do you remember a player named JAG33? That was my nickname I've been playing since 2001, but I had to cancel my account last year. I still love it as much as I did when I first made the transition from AirWarriors! We should set up a squad of ww2aa members. Go on massive bombing runs and paradrops, and such. It would be awesome! I haven't been able to try the snipers yet are they any good?

You can just order online, you get 14 days free: www.wwiionline.com/scripts/wwiionline/be_info.jspThe box set helps alot, though, becuase you can get GIGANTIC maps that detail every rouote to every city, all of the ports, all of the major industrial areas, etc. I am totally for a ww2aa squad, what country should we be? The axis focus more on tactics, but the allies just have alot of people that just want to run in and kill some Germans. I'm fine with either, but we should stick to one side and not keep switching over, becuase it is more fun that way.

Anyone want to guess that town? Yeah, the graphics arent superb. But the gameplay more than makes up for it. And modern games can have those super fancy graphics because the maps are so small, you end up loading more things every 10 minutes. The gameplay is amazing, but definately takes some getting used to. As someone who is an (ex) hardcore BF2 fanatic (I mostly played PRMM), this game's gameplay FAR exceeds that of BF2. My real big complaints is that: FJ have gas mask cans, and tan bread bags Bread bags are too small Y straps too long No panzerfaust/PIAT/bazooka

Great screenshots, Binary! By any chance would that be London? I know the axis was pushing the allies back very far. It looks a little too small to be London, maybe Normandy?? I really miss this game, once I get my new computer I'll order it again. Also, Frank if you are still considering this game, I can get you 2 months free.

Have been dreaming about this game for years, maybe I now have to courage to try it for free.
Edit: Btw, you still need to put your credit card number, just if you want to play the free trial?

There was a 2 month free trial that required no credit card over the holidays, but that expired a few days ago. If you wish to try it now you need to enter your credit card and buy the game key($20 IIRC) to "try it out".

I'm probably on your kill list then, many a time i've made too low a pass over an FB or town, and ended up getting riddled Despite the graphics it really is a great game, nothing beats attackin a town for 2+ hours then finally getting it, very fun game.
