WOW, pretty impressive, even if you take into account none of the actors even attempted a halfway decent German accent...

Seems like a good movie so far. Also, it looks like a lot of the shots (luftwaffe airbases ect.) are very cool.

Just got this photo today. The reason my Kubelwagen took so long to build is that Kooblekar supplied two of the Koobles that will get blown to smithereens in the movie (I'm guessing at this). Looks like M-60's for the Mark IVs but the turret part looks convincing. I think I will pay to see this one. I think his movies are pretty entertaining.

Yes it looks like an M60, but something is not quite right with the tracks?? They look like Mk4 tracks with an extension?!? When you see the shots of the same tanks from the side in the movie clips, it has Mk4 road wheels!?! Is it CGI or some other cinematic trick??? All in all I'm not a big Tom Cruise fan, but after seeing these trailers, I want to see this one!!

If you look close, there is a line on the fender at the same place where the track "extension" is. Looks like the whole side, with the track, fender, and road wheels is an add on.
And it looks like T-55 track.

alot of the movie was filmed in germany which surprised me, also alot of the film was destroyed early in the filming of this movie which delayed it but it looks pretty good, just might go see it in my uniform lol

The History Channel coverage was quite interesting. The true story is quite fascinating. One has to wonder how true to facts the script will be. I'm assuming the T55 picture is From the Aberdeen Proving Grounds outdoor display. It looks familiar. A plane approaching from the rear is often not heard until it passes. This is abolutely true of super sonic fast movers. (I speak from experience here) but also true for high performance WW2 aircraft as well. It is similar to guys walking down train tracks you just don't hear them coming.

Actually I know the guys who made the costumes/uniforms for this movie. Polish company from the city hat I live in. One of them was walking around the shop with Tom Cruise's hat on. Click

This is the movie that put Hong Kong Keith out of business. They never paid for the uniforms he supplied. Not sure if things were ever cleared up or not. I personally can not stomach Tom Cruise. The German version of this movie that came out a few years ago is fantastic...and it's in German. I wonder if he dances in his underwear in this movie?
;D

That's right Tom is wearing your crap in the movie and giving you the finger...I wouldn't take that man...... I'm still going to see the movie I don't care what you say...I'm hoping it is AT LEAST as good as Windtalkers.....but that is a hard act to follow...perhaps it will only be as epic as Pearl Harbour...who knows.

So..If I look really close I should see MY gas mask can appearing in this movie instead of hanging on my hip. At least I only got ripped off for $65 vs. the hundreds that some others lost when Keith folded up shop.

A few guys in my unit played parts in the movie. They said they werent paid the amounts promissed and were also paid late. They also said most of the tanks were mocked up shermans, done up very convincingly....
sorry for spelling...its late

So what is this movie about anyway??? And why is Tom Cruise playing a German??? Well I guess it is about the assassination attempts on Hitler. Is the character that Cruise plays a real person?

Yes Cruise plays the lead: Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg.

I think I'll see it. I don't really like tom, but for some reason, I love the movies that he is usually in. I love The Last Samurai, and this will probably be okay, so its weird.
