Very cool. It's so important that a variety of weapons be represented on the airsoft field. Obviously we need more WW2 AEG weapons available (I'm tried of seeing all Thompsons) Unfortunately we're having to do the conversions ourselves way too often.
Japan are you listening?

If the honorable Japanese are in fact listening, I would emplore them to continue their efforts in producing reliable gas-blow-back WWII weapons, and would further request that they make them 'easily' convertable to an external air source- in other words let's go back a bit in Airsoft history and have a re-birth of the 'classic' airsoft era with the update to modern technology and manufacturing techniques- in other words, better, more accuarate and more reliable systems utilizing blow-back mechanisms and usable with both internal and external propellant sources. Thats is my Christmas wish AEG's are cool and all, don't get me wrong- but I believe the engineers in Japan can give us what we really want, a Airsoft weapon that is at once a 'realistic' and 'reliable' BB delivery system. And while we are at it, lets tell them to build us flying cars.....I want one of those too! -G

hehe, yeah the classice are kinda comming back, Escort is going to make blowback guns for a new shoei mp40, external air only, this gun will probably end up being the most awesome smg in airsoft! thouh it will cost around 7 or $800 I belive. -Gordak

Great demo video Gordak!!!
Gas guns are cool but I definetly prefer the reliability and consistancy of an aeg.
Reece: do you have any DIY skills? The Grease gun aeg conversion isn't too hard but does require some minor gearbox mods.

We won't be able to walk you through the whole process but Gordak and I have both converted Grease guns into AEG's we both used TM P-90 Gearbox with a slight mod of replacing the Cyl head with one from a different TM gun to lower the nozzle, This will require modifying the tappet plate, Gordak's uses Thompson mags. Mine uses A real M3 mag with thompson internals, Both are full auto only (like the real thing) I had to extend the bottom cover a little to hide the motor.
