Nice work. Adding capacitors also have the same effect to eliminate the load on startup. Capacitors are now only seen on high-speed, high fps guns - 28+ rps at 450-500fps "Built to detonate guns." Good find on the relay! A similar setup was used to fix switch assembly for the 1st generation ASC M14.

Speaking of built to detonate. Starting with the Chinese M14 base, I have the following parts to assemble: Systema bushings, shim kit, Classic Army Stainless gears, a new Classic Army reinforced piston, matching piston head, Classic Army 210% spring, classic Army Brass spring guide with ball bearing. I'm designing a custom cylinder head. I'm going to do the HotRod Thing and show side-by-side the performance versus stock, and full parts/price list. A buddy is going to do chrono on the guns for us before/after. Anybody who's been wondering about modifications on the gearbox is about to get some answers. I don't intend an easy life for it!

Be wary about the CA gears. I have never seen so many brand-new CA guns with gear issues. 3 out of 5 new guns won't last a game.

Yikes! These aren't the stock gears, they are touted as super-durable Heat-Treated Stainless Steel. The set was $$. I'm sure to have some real fun before failure, if/when it happens. As much as I abuse my guns (an upcoming video will have me hooking a Stinger to a big truck battery to demonstrate our 40Amp electrical system), I haven't killed ANY gears yet, except when I've screwed up on pinion depth and ignored it.
People will get to know these guns by sound alone. The abrupt on/off firing is unique. After firing two or more shots, the gun will actually torque to the right as the motor locks on trigger release. I haven't put in a hot motor in one of these yet, but the effect would magnify, I'm sure. No question, the electrical system can provide the juice!
Now developing a programmable fire module that will allow the gunner to dial in a set number of shots for each trigger pull. So you can have a gun going "tat-tat, tat-tat,...." in a perfect cadence. This will have an old-timey bakelite knob with a pointer and a rotary dial, so it will blend in well with other period items. No idea if this can be made into a production item yet.

I HAVE ASSUMED CONTROL. ...of my backyard.... A million years ago, HiC orange drink had this commercial where a kid holds a HiC can, with an endless stream of oranges spewing forth, filling the landscape. This gun is just like that. I have to go find the local battlefields and start hosing noobs. A HUGE shipment of materials arrived today. If you have ANYTHING on order at Air-Sharp as of today, it will ship in less than two weeks. If your order was placed last month, it goes out this week. Get ready to see rows of Stingers and 1919's. We are considering a spade grip set and pintle that would put the ANM2 on one of our tripods. At least one will be made up for evaluation. The next step is the Mother2... On the Stinger page at the site is a much bigger version for those who want a closer look. It still needs minor details, a charging handle, etc. Going to bring in a new lathe tomorrow, the forward handles weren't available anywhere. The gun does have shoulder sling mounts, and will come with a VERY sturdy black sling with metal hardware. It balances nicely at your hip (You don't REALLY intend to use the sights, do you?). If you have a Stinger coming, you need this deal for all-day shooting: www.all-battery.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1721I have my 7600mAh on the way. The Stinger uses them in parallel, you can get by with one if you want. The firing rate is generally a bit faster and a lot more stable with two.

You've really outdone yourself on this one. My order went in today, I was only waiting for a picture, and it is a thing of beauty. A thought, buy a 1919A6 shoulder stock. Make a handle that will fit it. Offer the 1919A4 with the bipod and carrying handle. Let the people who want a 1919A6 buy the stock. I've happily spent over $100 buying a handle and sights for my 1919A4. If you could figure a quick disconnect from the ammo can when you're moving the gun that would be a bonus. As far as I can tell the A6 was still a crew served weapon.

Stick a driver's liscence or other thin stiff card thru the spring to hold the bb's in place, then twist the spring out. This will minimize the 52-pickup of 6mm's. Something I thought of doing was drilling a tiny hole though the acrylic tube, so you could just slide a wire though, like a grenade pin. I usually disconnect at the ammo bin, so the bb's can fall right back in...more or less! We will have an ammodrive that goes right on the gun very soon. The capacity will be lower, but the convenience much higher. This is a big key to making an A6 out of an AirSharp 1919, you're gonna need a long hose otherwise.
EDIT: All guns from this day forward will have a self-contained ammo bin, hanging on the gun where it should. Stayed tuned for pics, and if this can be retro'd to an existing gun.

A BIG personal THANK YOU to jimseery, who sent me a copy of the American Rifleman article on the Stinger.
Most noteworthy (to me, at the moment) is the ANM2 is SMALLER than the 1919.... My prototype is MUCH bigger! But not to worry, the first batch hasn't shipped, because of base gun shortages (who knew the M14 clones would be such a hit?). So a mad rework is in progress. I'm keeping all the "Larger than Life" ones to use creatively elsewhere.

You're Welcome! As much as I'm pretty anal about historical accuracy, you can see that the Marines did all kind of things with the stinger. Let you imagination run wild.
