Hey folks, I had a question about battery connectors, and switching them out. As most of you know I just got my new Thompson yesterday, and they gave me a mini battery with mini battery connectors. I wanted to know, if I can take the connector off of a large battery and stick it on the small battery, THEN afterwards take the large connector off and use the small one for using the gun. ...Yes very confusing, but I am a cheap bastard and only have one charger right now that works in US outlets and I need to know if this works before trying it out. Also, how do I know if my gun is wired backwards?? ???I am a bit afraid of this, since this came directly from China and isn't released in the U.S. yet, and I don't want to jack up any batteries or chargers from reverse wiring. -Mauser98k

There are adapters that take the tiny Tamiya to the large. You'll however need the reverse to take your tiny Tamiya to the large in the case of using your charger. Naturally this will somewhat reduce your flow and efficiency.
If you take you existing battery (One that you know is set up conventionally and hold it up aligned with your battery with the Thompson with the clip set up in parallel to one another (the attaching notch both facing up) see if the black and red wires are on the same side. If your Thompson is different, then your wires are reverse wired. Not a problem when used with the charger that came with it (which will also be reverse wired) but a probelm should you wish to use a different or replacement battery. You'll definitely want to use a large battery with the Thompson which should fit fine in the cavernous stock. Swapping both the battery and the charger over to a conventional layout is a good idea and not terribly hard when you have the cool little tool but a pain when you don't. You might have to go to a RC hobby shop and have them do it for you.

Will that 8.4v battery you gave a link for, fit an AGM MP40 as well? They look the same but pics are sometimes misleading.
