I have a tanaka 98k g-version problem. I put the mag in and sometimes it will fire and sometimes it won't. I pull the trigger and nothing happens, it just makes a 'click' noise but the bbs don't come out. What can I DO?
PLEASE HELP!!!

ok hank that could mean your hop up is messed up, or there is a jam...also there might not be enough gas in the mag. Give those a try let me know.

What do you mean the hop up I could be messed up? I did take the gun apart to stain the wood, could I have done something to the hop up then?

that happens when a bb is stuck in the barrel, It also happens when the gas is too high pressure for the hammer to push open the valve.

well If nothings broken its not the hop up. Refill the Magazine with Gas and fire, again check for jams. Adjust the hop up if needed.

Does dry firing hurt the gun? Because sometimes when I dry fire the bolt gets stuck and I have to pull the trigger a few times to get it back to normal position.

If it just says "click" and not "clickpssssss" then it wouldn't be the hop up or BB jam. If no gas is released, then the problem is in the parts that release the gas. (Surprisingly.) Carefully clean your firing pin and the magazine valve opener part. (Or while at it, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to clean everything)
What gas are you using?
Dry firing shouldn't hurt your gun, though the gun is made of very soft metal and every cycle will give you wear and tear. My Mauser has been used in perhaps four games but all the fooling around dryfiring it (without gas) has really worn the bolt & everything it touches.
