Why has no one made a bazooka yet?? I mean not even something thats like 100% authentic... just something that looks damn close even? It wouldnt be that hard, and you can always figure a way to make it fire something. I would pay upwards of 700 dollars for something like that. -Cary

Yeah! That would be amazing having a real working airsoft bazooka, totally worth that price seeing that most are in that price range, and they don't even fire! Who's with me?

I remember seeing one that fired using rocket motor's but its probably not fda friendly since 911. On the ww2reenactors forum in the how to section I believe there is a very detailed thread that gives instructions for a display one.

Made one that used 12 grams and a ball valve looked pretty good.

Heck the replica Bazookas out there cost more than $700 plus if it could fire, hmmmm If I could swing the cash I would have no problem with payin $700 for one.

That's a beautiful replica! The design of the Bazooka looks much easier to replicate, at least compared to an RPG-7 or AT-4 which are popular with current day airsofters. That heat shield next to the stock would be a nice place to fab a breach-loading 40mm gas shell assembly.

the problem with a 40mm round is that they can't have a long barrel...the optimum length seems to be not more than a foot and a half at most...more then that and the gasses loose pressure trying to push the round out of the tube.....the one i did wasn't an M1.. but an M9...
and yes, the ATF does severely frown on anything that launches any item by rocket power...as i found when i sold several of my original ones on ebay...lol....

Bazookas are not that hard, but you do need a welder. I will be making one in September, my second. The rules with the ATF are simple. You can launch anything out of a tube that does not explode nor is launched by a contained explosion. At that point it is a firearm and subject to their rules. Rockets may be launched out of a tube as long as that tube will not fit any past or currently produced ordnance round, the rocket does not mount any type of timed or impact explosive or fuse, and is launched under its own power or a non-explosive power (compressed air/gas). The first one I made used a model rocket system that launched a model rocket. Pretty cool effect though you still had to use "area effect" rules which most people promptly ignored.

troylugginbill, 2 BAZOOKA's. You just want to make us jealous dont you. Luckily I have welding ability but dont have any of the time, money, or materials to make one now. Will your new one be display, use a compressed air/gas system, or still fire using a model rocket system?

The second one will have the ability to have a fire system installed but I will leave that up to the new owner.

I remember when you posted pictures of it way back when and sold it on Ebay. I wanted to buy it but was too slow to react to it and missed out. Build two and I'll buy one!
