If you are having problems with the trigger/fire system. I have used a car door actuator (about $6.00), 9v battery, and a momentary switch to trigger grenades. The should just fit inside the rear of the tube. www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/item/DLA-1/search/DOOR_LOCK_ACTUATOR_.htmlI put them in the "claymore" landmines I built 3 years ago. I used a car remote control to trigger one. ///ed///

Fantastic job Jer & Carey. Is it 1:1 scale? it looks small to me. Maybe just the pics. At any rate...a first class job on the construction. Looks GREAT!

Looks GREAT! we said the same thing making it but the tube is correct 50" long other than that we kinda free handed the stock and what not. Great job on the sights jer glad we left it to you to do that, cant wait for paint, cary did a great job on the back wire frame and you did an awesome job on the rear wiring, glad i found that stuff. -Kyle

That does look nice. I am kinda hoping that TG is the operator. That way he won't be able to use his rotary magazine Thompson. But seriously, it makes me envious. Now I'll have to add to my long list of projects a Panzerschrek. The good thing is hopefully by the time I get around to starting it you guys will have all the kinks worked out.
BTW - scale looks good to me. Wait till its painted - it will look bigger??

Well the tube is 50 inches long, just like the reall thing and we also thought it looked small too but the measurments match the specs we used so...We shall see when its painted. But at this point since it is a prototype simply getting it to work is our concern and then we will be corecting any wrongs with it.

The remote is actually a brilliant idea as you can have the firing device itself become a self contained shell with the mosscart, nerf rocket (or whatever) all set up ahead of time (maybe even have a couple spare rounds handy) Slide it in the back so the forward barrel aligns with the bazooka inner barrel (With mosscarts you don't need much barrel length) and trigger via the remote switch placed inside your trigger housing. Hmm with a remote you have to insure the spare rounds don't go off as well.

While the remote is a great idea and actually for the second prototype we will be using an electronic trigger, the trigger design we will be using in the first prototype actually will accomplish the same thing but with no electrical work needed, it is all mechanical and very simple. While I can not go into detail until we have aquired a Mad bull shell to make sure the system works, I can say that the Nerf rnd and the Mad bull is all contained in a PVC tube that is inserted into the Bazooka.

TG, Cary, Well done! very impressive!Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you American ingenuity and perseverance at its best. Shameless Yankee plug yes, but why not? I don't mean to imply that our friends from Europe, Asia or anywhere else for that matter are not as inventive or able as Americans, but we have seen examples of 'homemade' scratch-built BAR's, Ma Deuce's (Big Ed's .50 Cal ), Garand AEG's, KAR98 Replicas (You go AADAn and ErsatzJack!) and a whole 'industry' devoted to the venerable .30 cal Browning spring up right here on this very forum. (and before I'm shot by my good friends in the Pac NW, Schmitty is simply a god- although he is a transplant, his ability, ingenuity and genius puts him way above us mere American mortals or anyone else for that matter- perhaps just being in the same hemisphere as him inspires all the rest of us American mutts, who knows? ;D ) It makes me get a bit emotional to think that a bunch of "Spoiled, ugly Americans" have shown yet again that where there is a will, there is damned sure a way and very little will get in the way of a Yankee with a goal. And now with that said, I want to extend a huge 'Hat's off' and salute to our friends in the UK and the rest of Europe that have pulled off some amazing things with blank-firing replicas and Airsoft replicas and then shared them with us here, and well, to all the Chinese that are embracing capitalism with every fiber of their beings and bringing us the Airsoft toys we have been asking for so long and much deserved prosperity and advantage to their families and their communities. And of course to the Japanese manufacturers that began the whole industry- Thank you, thank you, a million thank you's for adopting that unique American "Can-do" attitude and making this hobby, dare I say 'Sport', what it is today. and you two- Tommy and Cary- keep it up, this will be something you look back on when your old like m.....2nd Bat and those guys and say "Wow, look where I have come from that Bazooka we made" (cue the anthem, unfurl the flag, dim the lights, now .....fade.......to black) Slainte! -G

Mine is made from PVC and fires similar to a spud gun (or will). Cant wait to see this puppy in action! HOOHAH!!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm Building a Panzerschreck....liek that 88 mm Flak Gun you were gonna build? I'm not sure if that's a joke or a jibe, but keep it civil. Cool bazooka, looks small though?

Yeah it was a joke/ jibe thing
And I dont know what it is though but the dimensions match the specs we used so I dont know, but all I can say is, hell we have a bazooka! and again this one was built simply to be a test bed for different ways of fireing the projectiles.

TG, do you think you guys will be making this custom for interested parties or is going to be something that anyone can make once you post the plans of it after completion? BTW, if someone were willing to pay, would you be able to make a drum mag for an aeg thompson?
