I recieved a ProWin hop up unit and I can tell you without a doubt without a whole lot of modification it will not work in the AGM MP40. You need to trim parts of your AGM and the hop up itself. You need to make the bb infeed nozzle shorter and get a longer air nozzle. It will not attach to the front screw on your mechbox and the tabs that normally hold in a AK hop will not lineup right(Though that is pretty easy to fix) I'm not saying it can not be done ever just saying it is a PITA and my AGM shoots pretty good the way it is. Just thought I would experiment.

I got one of the initial runs of the AGM as soon as they became availible and was never able to replace my hop up unit because I couldnt get the damned barrel off! I had everything else upgraded and replaced, the spring, the piston, etc, but we could never do the hopup because the damned screw under the barrel must have been made of cheese or something! So now mine sounds great, like a TM when shooting, and honestly, it probably is pretty accurate to the real-steel MP40 because rounds come out and go in random, somewhat target oriented directions lets just say  I gave my old friend Schmitty such a hard time because initially the gun shot so well, but when I tried to 'improve' it and make it Japanese-reliable with upgrade parts, it got worse because I couldnt replace the hopup.....  Any suggestions? |

Sadly the intial runs of MP40s were pretty underpowered (Fine for a sub machine gun in my book) The later ones. I bought a second one recently shoots infinitly better. (260 FPS on my earlier one and 330 FPS on my most recent one. The hop up still leaves something to be desired but as you say Guiness that's probably fine for a sub machine gun.
The Win pro hop up also wouldn't readily attach to the M-14 by AGM or Marui for that matter. Works fine on the AKs.
