I think Guinness (?) bought it and the wood was a very orange-ish color.
Easily fixed by the weathering/aging process in this thread.

I likewise bought the kit and the wood is a very light ash stained in a rediculous shade of redish orange as stated. I actually enjoyed follwing Guinesses tutorial and both aged and restained it and am quite happy with the end result. It was quite easy to install on the gun as well.
