Ok this may seem trivial but I know a few of us custom types have nice shops. Let's see that set up. I'll go first. I recently got downgraded from a whole garage to a small section of one. Overview: I have a small hobby class mill that I use, bandsaw, dremel and lots of other hand tools. Here is my mill. I really like it but wish I had something more capable. Some of the things I worked on today: The push button adapter for the guns. Finally I wish I could explain the album name but I don't have that much time

Looks good, Do you use the milling machine much? I've been considering getting one but not sure how useful it would be for me or how sophisticated a machine is needed to make it worth while. I would post some pics of my modest shop but I have no Camera at the moment (hoping to get one for Christmas).

Nice shop, well laid-out, well lit and compact. It's so, what's that word people use...uh...um..."Clean," that's it! You must be one of those fabled craftsmen who know how to "clean" things. Never got the hang of it myself, much to my family's chagrin. My mold shop and wood shop are Stalingrad rubble piles compared to yours - my wife once threatened to torch the mold shop if I didn't clean it out, but changed her mind when I asked how she'd tell the difference afterwards ;D I envy you your milling machine.

I suggest the milling machine would be pretty useful. It cuts down the amount of time it takes to do some things. It lets you make parts out of alum. that you just can't do with a dremel. Becaue of it's size you will find you need to make slow work on some things. A basic manual feed mill is all you really need but the end mill holders end mills a good vice or hold down bar set and other accesories starts adding up. I have maybe 800.00 dollars into that with the tools and mill. I hope to get a lathe sometime in 08. The shop is clean because I just cleaned up after I was done working. It can get a little messy sometimes but in such a small space you want to clean it up quick so you can work in it. Thanks for looking guys and get those pics up when you can.

A mill is an excellent tool, I have one at my disposal. It's a manual type and very slow to use, but the results are usually top notch. Excellent for carving out rifle stocks if you want them to look good even without the receiver. One crucial thing to remember when using a mill is the fact that the part must be EXACTLY 100% correctly lined up and held in place fairly tight. It's surprisingly hard to support some parts well enough, especially without breaking them. A few times I have noticed that the part wasn't aligned properly, AFTER the job. Nothing too serious though.

Here are some pics of my work shop. My work shop consists of damn near my entire basement except for one area that belongs to my mom. She has it set up for fossil preparation, she is a paleontologist. Anyway here is my work space. Here is the table where I work on my airsoft guns. All of my models I have collected....and I swear I intend to build them......eventually The cart I use to carry my paints for my models, and also where I store the projects I am currently working on. This is the table where I work on my plastic model kits. This is my paint booth where I use my airbrush to paint......things..and stuff.... Here is my precious arch welder....I also have an acetylene torch too.....but I dont know where it is......hmmmm My unfinished HO train layout....I have had this since I was 8 or 9 years old. Here is my moms work station...or at least part of it. So there you guys have it, my basement work zone, I practically live down there, and with having a TV to watch it makes things really fun. I am not that good at it but spot weld things here and there when I need to. mediablaster cabinet is nice to have. thanks for sharing man.
