It will certainly be an opportunity to see and experience Schmittys marvelous custom weaponry. The turnout should be quite good and lots of great photo ops and excellent skirmish scenarios. Helmutt always does a great job on his period events and this venue is quite nice and well set up for parking, camping etc. His fees are quite reasonable given the funds he shells out for props, venue and materials.

Mauser it'd be great to have you there. You'd most certainly be welcomed. That holds true for all out of town WW2 airsoft regulars. If any of you would consider flying in the local club could arrange for transportation from and to Sea Tac airport. Just give us plenty of notice about arrivals and departures.

Agh, its still in washington though, the only thing holding me back. So far it is an 75 percent chance I cant go but folks said they would talk about it...

I posted at battlesim, but thought I might as well post here too. I plan on going as well as my brother and maybe a friend or two. I think we all love WW2 and Airsoft so this is a great thing for us. The only problem is uniform (which is being taken care of with the entry fee thanks to Hellmut) The other problem is the weapon. Battlesim said they rent guns out so thats good. Also I noticed a lot of people going into the event as Americans. I have been creating an American Outfit but its not anywhere clost to being complete. Question is should we go in as German since I have only seen 2-3 sign up as that?
Anyway thanks, this looks great!

It seems with the local NW events it's harder to recruit folks for the Axis so if you're indifferent and since Helmutt includes a complete (and very decent I might add) Impression I recommend you and your buddies go German. personally I always like being on the outnumbered side as it's only airsoft and there definitely is more action.

That's the true spitit of airsoft (Not the "can't make it" statement) but the willingness to fight on either side depending on where you're needed. You're welcome any time. This is going to be an awesome event.

This is going to be a great event. Hellmutt knows how to put on a good show. I am working on getting a Kettenkrad for the axis, and we will be having an anti aircraft gunner event. Also maybe a WWII Lan party in the evenings. What more could you ask for?

I second that. Helmutt does a great job on period events. They would frankly be worth flying on for and are getting better all the time.

Enrollement is over 30 pre registered and paid and expect at least a dozen walk ons so the turn out should be good. The expectations on impressions is pretty high and while there will of course be acceptance of other then period weapons there will be an extremely high percentage of the folks with correct or pretty darn close weapons as well.
Three more weeks to go and I can wait. The location is super we held a Vietnam game there a couple months ago and it was very nice. Across the ferry from Seattle on the Olympic Penninsula. It should be a great weekend.

I'd go, but it would take 26 hours to drive there.

Those 26 hours would be worth it no doubt.

well, I would have to stay up 3 days strait for it to be worth it, one day to get there, one day of hard fighting then leave right away to make it home so I can get to work on time

Although expensive I really recommend flying. Well done events take alot out of you and if you truly applied yourself to a WW2 event throughout the weekend you wouldn't be in shape to drive home. We had a lot of local players drive all the way to So Cal for events down there (From the Seattle area) even sharing the driving it was brutal coming and going and they swore they wouldn't do it again. A year later they did but this year they are flying. I look forward to the day we all have quality national events to attend and share our mutual interests. It's coming gentlemen. Evenets like the Carentan game and others planned are taking us in the right direction.

On Sat Apr22 around 1800-1900 PM I will be hosting a 1/16th scale RC tank Battle. The tanks are 1/16th scale models equipped with Tamiya infrared battle systems that fire and record hits. The Winner will receive a new Saitek X45 flight stick for their PC (This is an awesome joystick and not cheap!! www.saitekusa.com/USA/prod/x45.htm Hellmutt and I both use these) I only have 5 tanks with Battle systems so the first five to sign up at www.battlesim.com will be accepted. If there is enough interest and time I may do more than 1 round. I have 2 Shermans, 2 Tigers and 1 Pershing. I will explain the operation and rules at the game. People with some RC experience preferred (cars, planes etc..) These are not cheap toys. This will be after the Airsoft games and Anti aircraft gunner shoot on Saturday. Sign up now!!! Schmitty

Very cool props. I can't wait. The Ball ammo box for the .30 Cal M1 ammo would make a great housing for the Marui style thumb powered speed loaders. Where did you come up with it? I think I just figured out my next project!

Too bad! the Pak 40 deployment would have been cool as would the RC tank battle and the RC aircraft shoot this morning. I also thought the firefight over the causeway with the BB hits in the water would have been cool. And of course the Jeep with the Vickers blasting away would have been cool. Great Event Helmutt!!!!!! They just keep getting better.

Looks like an awesome event hellmutt. I would have loved to be there. Firefight with bb hits in the water? That sounds really cool. The rc stuff would be interesting and a pak 40 to take down always adds to it. Sounds like it was awesome.
