Any WWII airsofter frequent Airsoft CQB in Manassas, VA? I'm there almost every weekend and sometimes I even gear up in either 101st Airborne or 2nd Rangers. airsoftcqb.com/

there's another gentleman that gears up in 101st Airborne there as well. When we play on the same team, sometimes I call us "Band of two Brothers".

we both have Thompsons, but his has the wooden stock, receiver and pistol grip. It's a thing of beauty I must say. Someday I too will have the real wood stock.

I'm in the Richmond area (Midlothian) and also do 101st. I don't have the Thompson yet, but do have the Grease Gun with two mags so far. I love playing at ACQB when I can. Drop me a line when you guys are planning on doing WWII there again and I'll see if I can co-ordinate my schedule with you.

"He stopped when some people took offense at the little swastika in the chect eagle" Sigh... Sucks how some people can't come to grips. Most people are so uneducated, and it shows even more that they knew nothing looking at that he was a heer soldat. Which took part in little to none of those atrocious war crimes. Irritates me.

That's what he said. But he figured it was futile to try to explain that to them, that it was all in the spirit of re-enactment and does not in any way mean that he sympathizes with the Nazi cause and ideals. So next time he says he'll just wear a swastika free camo fallshirmjaeger smock

Just tell him to get a zeltbahn for his outfit. It will work.

A zeltbahn is that long "dress type" uniform piece that is also a shelter quarter. Sascha Gusdorf is wearing one in his impression pic.

I cant belive how many people take offense to the swastika , when hitler came into power he just made the swaztika different byt urning it 45 degrees and and flipping it.

the swastika was originally an ancient Hindu symbol for prosperity, if i can remember correctly. i think maybe hitler made the connection to the Swastika becuse the Aryans were a nomadic group who subsequently settled in Northern India at around 1500 BCE. The blending of Aryan traditions with those of the pre-Aryan culture and later religious sects would eventually develop into Hinduism.

Kids under 18 can play, but they have to have a waiver signed by one of their parents.
