i just might be able to make it to this one! there's a big game in the mountains the week before this game, so i'd have to pick which game to go to. A soviet themed game where i will be one of a few soviets, or a world war two game where i will be among fellow ww2 airsofters. It's a tough call.

No they/We/Me are not enforecing WW2 weapons only. We do have a ruleset inplace to try and simulate weapons of the time take a look at the rules. If you are hardcore 100% must be 100% accurate then this event may not fit your needs. It will have some great uniforms but not everyone will be great. You will not see kids running around in their latest Hot Topic tshirts though. It will have an awesome plot and missions. I hope you can make it Majorray. why dont you enforce ww2 weapons rather than simulating them i think that if its a ww2 event then you should enforce uniforms and weapons from that perioud -mccallion

Because it gets more people involved. Once they get involved they get better uniforms and actual ww2 weapons. This model has been very successful in cultivating new people interested in WW2 airsoft to get involved. We have been doing it this way for awhile. Our smaller get togethers have everyone in pretty good gear and we all have ww2 weapons.

Dan speaks the truth. At Battlesim we allow modern guns but they have to be wraped in burlap. Sometimes it donns on people, they like my M4 wrapped in burlap thats dumb and then they buy a WWII gun. I started out using a AK now I have a MP40 its all about how far do you want to go. Just playing a WWII game with modern things or do you want to take it to the next level? I picked the next level.

yes the weapons rule makes it harder to find people (there are precious few WW2 airsofters in the south east)
I've decided on going to this event, and... i will be going as... A KRAUT!!!! (alert the presses)

true to get people in the game one must bend the rules but the same is true with the full reality of WW2 impression . when airsoft players look at pictures on the web of a TRUE WW2 Airsoft event they become fascinated by the look just like one would become with a great WW2 movie. A somewhat living history event. So the door swings both ways.

We are at 31 players 12 Allies to 19 Axis players. Any of you Allied guys that can make it that have a squad together would really help out the Allied side. BC has run over the Allied side quite a bit in past ops. You can make a difference! TBJ has spread between the 2 sides to try and even it out some. You will notice we play both sides so obviously we are not trying to rig the game! We will continue to move people around if needed to make it as close to fair as we can numbers and strength wise. Two big teams on the Axis side while the Allied side is mostly independents or small segments of teams. Any people that may want to switch sides should do it now at the end of the week we will open the forums for each side and thier will be no switching except for TBJ after that.

The guys at Team Blackjack are a good bunch, so bring your goodies and come on out! Check out their home website, and TNAirsoft and Alabama Airsoft as well, there are a number of WW2 lovin guys there.
PS-An AK47 is a passable representation of an MP44 and will be allowed, per TBJ. I will be working with the Resistance and that is what I am carrying.

Probably very few if any. I doubt I would be able to make it, and I only have a learners permit as of now. although major ray is one of the only people on these boards that I have played with before, and that was not a very long amount of time either

I don't expect to see anyone from NY it is a long drive or an expensive flight for people. We are currently sitting at 70 players I expect that number to ebb and flow before the game day. Any of you guys that can make it from out of state we are more than glad to see ya come down. I'll post an AAR and pics after the game.
