I saw pictures of WWII impressions as well as modern airsoft impressions. Is there any WWII-only airsoft events in Colorado? If so I'll have to drive up there some time to participate. Cheers Thomas

Hey Thomas, Yeah, any WWII event we hold has fairly strict uniform requirements (some might argue to lenient) and equally stringent ammo limits and rate of fire restrictions. We allow modern weapons since we are not yet at a point in CO where we have a large enough player base to start requiring players to purchase period replicas in order to participate. We encourage players to buy period replicas, but we all know the expense and commitment this entails.
So far I think we've found that requiring period uniforms provides an immersive enough experience that the odd AK or MP5 can be easily overlooked. If we ever get it working, HK's M1919 is actually an Asahi M249 LOL
In any case, our neighbors are ALWAYS most welcome to participate. You may register on the COASG board for more information about upcoming WWII events in CO, including our Big D-Day invasion planned for early summer (a Normandy beach in the mountains? wow!). Transportation and lodging may also be available through individuals in the group.
