I'm just wondering why here in the midwest that no one is doing a winter event. I see many other regions doing them, so why aren't we? Or why not.

Gordak informed me of "black gas" last summer at his last event here in the midwest. It's suppost to allow gas guns to function in cold weather. It's something to concider though I have never used it and do not know what the long term effects are on the gun.
I would love a winter game, we will have one here in the midwest. We're building momentum here and I am also working on a perminent field with trenches & bunkers in NW Indiana. 2007 will be a good year in the mid-west for WWII airsoft.

Not to bring back, if this is, a dead thread, But would anyone in the midwest be interested in a battle of the bulge or winter event? So if the Mods and Tommygunner be willing to consider about an event before winterbreak ends thatd be sweet, and Id be willing to come...

I'd go, except, my only winter clothing is Italian lol. So I would have to go axis, and I don't recall Italians fighting in the Bulge.

Having an event before winter break ends would be fine by me, infact if we dont have an event now our next possible date would have to be after Febuary, I have music auditions to practice for to get into NIU and will not be able to devote any time to airsoft until there over. I ca however do it now while the music is still being ordered and I cant practice becuase I do not have it.
As long as we can get a reasonable amout of people to come with useable weapons (not gas) than I thinks its worth the effort.
We would have enough allies and the only problem would be Germans and I think I can get a few more from the 2nd Panzer to play.

Well, lets get a roll call here. Also, if anybody has any spare guns they could lend to the guys with gas guns, that would be fantastic. I'll wait on whether to go allies or axis, depending on the amount of players we have. I'm kinda itching to get back on the Allies. Also, I think it would be best to have this event after the next snow, becuase TG, your forest is the perfect Ardennes with snow on the ground!

My mom says I can't play in an Airsoft event unless I watch one first. So if it's soon, I'll be there.....sitting.....eating nachos.....depressingly.....wishing I were out there.......Huh did I say that out loud?

It would be very hard to see. The forest is really big. I don't know how well that would work.

He could do a Correspondents impression. Slap a Stars and Stripes patch on your shoulder, and take pictures! Then he could tag along with the allies, no problem.

Before we start making dates for this game I have to get in contact with Cap.Zak first and square away actually having a game. The only reason that our last game and the one before that went so well was because of the prep work Cap.Zak put into it, he really is the backbone of the WW2AA here in the Midwest and if it werent for him we wouldnt have had these last two events.

Okay I have made contact with Cap. Zak and there is no way we can set a game up before winter break ends, he cant get a day off to play and its kinda doubtful there will be enough people to make the game worth while, also its looking kinda bleak as to getting some guys from the 2nd panzer to play also on such short notice.
The next available date where myself and Cap. Zak are able to set up a game is after March 3rd, this next game will however be a two day long event.
