The group shot of the 45th could pass for original. The one of you as the Russian prisoner as well. Keep up the good work.

Not to suck up too much but I agree with Zak. My favorite is the group shot and the prisoner pic. They are realistic looking both. Maybe you should carry the camera at events and forego any action. Ha-ha. That's not gonna happen - is it?

Not to suck up too much but I agree with Zak. (I wish they had an emoticon for sarcasm) - Good job on the photos. Now we just need another event so we can take MORE photos.

Eh, I like the sepia of my take on the group shot. However, I do like the crease lines in yours. How did you get that in photoshop? More soon, just making some minor touches.

Love the first pic. There are some other pics where the hair on certain people goes a long way towards ruining the effect.

I was told that sephia prints were out of fashion in the 30's and 40's and that sephia toning photos of the era was incorrect. They look great but I don't think period photos look like that they more washed out grayscale images. I do the same thing with the sephia toning though.

The reason the Sepia toning looks correct to us, is not because the original photos were sepia. The photo paper of the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's all contained massive amounts of acidic chemicals that were added in the production process. Overtime, these chemicals began to eat away at the white color of the paper, leaving a long term yellowing effect. Thus, if you want to make photos look like they are from the forties, a light-dark shade of sepia is very acceptable. If you want a photo to look like it's in the forties, black and white is the only choice possible.

That is a very valid point, I work at a movie theater and we often have events where we play older movies from the 50's and 40's, the films are literally pink, or yellow. We get people complaining saying, "der, dat der screen is all messed up hehe..." It's the film and its aging. Old film, when looked at today is an off-set color. Nice pics! I love the one where I'm sitting on a tree stump or somthing. That's sexy!!!
