I will be there Saturday as well. Not sure if i will be in uniform. Since this is the "offseason" i have let my hair grow. So if i get a haircut today then i will definitely be in uniform.

I won't be there since I live on the west coast but it sounds like a great event. We should host something similar here in the Pacific Northwest. I know there are militaria shows but I'm not on the mailing list so I have no idea when they are or where they are held.
Second to None. I for one am really impressed with your intent not to show up in uniform with your long hair. Good choice (IMO) Shows great maturity and sensitivity to the uniform.

Thank you, and actually, i had my mom cut my hair this morning at like 1230 haha, and i got it very close to the length left it a little longer so i could have a hair stylist clean it up. But i cannot believe the amount of peopole who stopped me to tell me how quote on quote snazzy i looked, honestly, i have about 30+ plus people stop me on it. I made out GREAT today too, Go an entire m56 webgear set up plus a few extras for 40, Gp bag with strap (kinda beat up) 25, Jungle Jacket (Nice Condition) and sunburn cream for 5, Vibram Soled Jungle boots for 20, Sweet Heart Pillow boot laces and 10 Round M16 Bandoleer for 10, and a WWII wool 5 button sweater for 20. It was so great seeing everyone again, Neville, Frank, Nick , Ben, Charlie, Jer ( Those Marine Kits are looking GREAT! along with that BAR!!), Jeff, Really guys it was great seeing you all! And i had a blast! Whish i could have stayed a little longer to shoot the applesauce ... but my ride had to be home. Cant Wait till next time! -Cary

I seriously couldn't find a GB bag and strap for the life of me. I guess I'm blind. I only saw some of ya, and not for very long but it was good seeing you again. I saw Ben and Jer in the basement at one point, and I made a purchase and next thing I know they're gone. I really wanted to see that BAR and marine imp. Oh well. I am pretty satisified with what I bought. All I really need are boots and a few other things.

I had to go to a funeral and it ended up stretching very late. I'm going tomorrow morning though.

Reenactor fest was absolutly fantastic. I have old Paratrooper holding an M-14 belt and two M-14 ammo pouches for me and he is ordering a WW1 version BAR belt for me to use in my marine imps. I got 2 sets of tent stakes fro him there.
I got a ton of stuff for super cheap, and here is my list......oh and I didnt pay full price for anything...again!! And it is all original.
M37 Wool Trousers size 34 WW2 BAR Belt 42 dated pistol belt P41 suspenders WW2 British Brodie Helmet 2 WW2 tent stake sets WW2 USN Marked USMC Cammo Poncho
For those that showed up in imps they looked great guys. And during the whole event I switched between my Thompson gunners imp, Riflemens imp, and new BAR gunners imp. I also wore my dungarees and my cammo uniform too. That was tough switching between the imps though lol.

Yet another great Reenactorfest! I only took a few pictures, so maybe I'll post them later. Got some great deals too. Look forward to being there again next year!

For those of you outside of the area my sympathies! This is always the jumpstart to the reenactor season. I just love going and seeing all of the great impressions. I always come away thinking I should do that impression next year or one that was missing from the Fest. Alot of young faces! good to see new blood. Another great thing is to see alot more WW2AA guys each year. I was the only US tanker there on Saturday that I could see. I was the tall guy in the jeep cap carrying an M1928A1, should have taken my M3. There is always next year.

Wow certainly covers all periods! The Gen. Lee and Gen. Grant looked amazing as did everyone else. Surpised to see the Vietnam stuff.

I thought I had pictures, then I took my camera back and realized all that were on there were pictures of the belly dancers. POA: don't give your friend's brother the camera It was a lot of fun even if I was pressed for time and didn't get to spend much time talking to different reenactors and was forced to come in civies. I saw Jaeger had a picture of that guy in the top hat doing the sideshow/magician thing. He was probably the best there

I have to agree. The magician was very good! I still don't know how he did the ball trick so well.

I can't find the video. Maybe the unfortunate happenings at NIU pushed it off.
