The 2008 Wisconsin Airsoft Expo will be at the Waukesha Expo Center on August 3. Yours Truly is on the planning committee, will be emcee for the event, and will be running a seminar called "A Nervous Parent's Guide to Airsoft." This is the second annual WI Airsoft Expo, we did the first near Madison last year and it went over extremely well. With the new location and the seminars we are planning to offer, we are expecting even better attendence numbers this year. Event info at: www.wisconsinairsoft.comOur unit's BA-64 is already scheduled as a display feature. I encourage other Midwestern WW2AA units to come in full kit, set up displays, and help increase the visibility of our kinda airsofting!

I think this is a great way to attract new players and you can rely on a bunch of us Midwest Ostfront types to help you with your display.

I am definitely interested, and while it's hard to speak that far into the future, I will definitely aim to make it.

Just a reminder. The Airsoft Expo is this weekend. Midwest Ostfront Airsoft will be there representing WW2AA and WWII to the masses. We've got two tables, an Armored Car, a PAK38, and music and videos. I don't think anyone will be able to resist. Ha. Of course, I've been wrong before. Anyway, this should be a great chairsofting event for me. No mosquito bites. Just a cold drink, a hot dog or two, and lots of talking. Right up my alley. The event again is at the Waukesha Expo Center and it opens to the public at 1000 hrs on Sunday, 3 August 08. Kerrick our member posted the following on MOA's site. Kerrick13 - I wanted to post an update for the expo thread since it has been quite some time since we've mentioned anything, and to unbury it from the bottom of the message boards. Just a reminder that the 2nd Annual Wisconsin Airsoft Expo is coming up on Sunday, August 3rd at the Waukesha County Expo Center from 10am to 6pm. Contests This is a reminder for everyone who was interested in participating in the 3 contests going on at the Expo. A refresher on them is below... -Best Booth (self explanatory) -Best Costume (does not have to be airsoft related or used in a game, but does have to be appropriate) -Best Loadout (Tactical gear, BDUs, sweet custom tailored tactical stuff... whatever you would wear during a game that looks cool) A digital picture will be taken of all participants /booths. All participants must enter into the contest at the registration table by 1pm and the winners will be announced at 3pm. You must be present to win the award/prizes. As of today, Monday July 28th, these are the confirmed lists of teams, organizations, vendors, and sponsors. Teams / Organizations / Fields Wisconsin Airsoft Association Task Force Steel Horse GOPMAT Badger Airsoft Action Packed Paintball Midwest Ostfront Association (WW2 Airsoft) CWC (Event Staff) Wolf Recon (Event Staff) Vendors Airsoft Battle Zone Tactical Advantage Corp Wisconsin Airsoft Wars AAA Tactical Airsoft Expo Sponsors Airsoft Battle Zone Airsoft Guns USA Madbull Echo 1 Jag Precision Airsoft Extreme McArthur Towels Wisconsin Airsoft Wars Spartan Imports Northern Safari Army Navy Eau Claire WGC Shop Tactical Milsim Airsoft Magazine Combat Sport Supply Check out www.wisconsinairsoft.com for more info. We hope to see you there!

Vid looks really good. Too bad that, for me, the place isn't a stones throw away, more like a rifle shot . Click

If by 'rifle' you mean 'ICBM,' then yes.

Well the Expo has come and gone but reports are that it was a qualified success for Midwest Ostfront Airsoft and as an offshoot for WW2 airsoft. Several new excellent member prospects were made at the event and for that reason alone it was worth the trip. Lots of prizes were distributed too and several quality guns were given away. Ersatzjack took home a nice Madbull hop-up and piston combination so he was happy. The event organizers were all friendly and the staff worked hard for everyones benefit. The volunteers who provided security and worked the entrances did great service too. All-in-all a fun day and worth the trip. This will go on the schedule. Next year should be even better. Jared "Bobik" of the 198th Russian Rifle Division won best costume. Seems like he wouldn't listen to Ersatzjack when told to go search outside for spent brass when they announced that the uniform judging competition was about to begin.

Glad to see the expo was a success. Perhaps we can start the wheels in motion for making this a "National Type" get together for next year. Just a thought. Hats off to those who planned and made it possible.

A good thought too Zak, with all your gear you could have had your own table.
