I find the last picture rather humorous. Aside from a few obvious impression flaws...I think you all had one heck of a time.

oh yeah- there are probably only 3 or 4 of us with any kind of real impressions in the area. It's still a struggle here Colorado sadly-
This really was more of a fun game than anything.
More pics later

Looks like the impressions could have been better, some guys more than others. But if you can't scrape enough guys in proper kits, just make do.
I love the bazooka picture. Few things put an evil grin on your face like a bazooka does
The last picture I found a little funny too. But it would be some good propoganda material for the allies. Especialy because "lil' fritz" is SS.
Nice job with the pictures, thanks for sharing.

yeah like I said, there are very few people in Colorado that care to 'do it right' For instance, notice the guy in the first group shot wearing a M42's......with leggings...

Thanks for taking the pictures, G!!! Yes, as you can see, WWII airsofting never really caught on here in Colorado. We need another "Saving Private Ryan" to re-invigorate everyones interest. We do have a few dedicated US GIs but only one truly accurate German (Joe) - and that's because both he and his father are re-enactors (their Kampfgruppe played the Germans in "Saints and Soldiers" - the half-track in that movie belongs to the CO). I spent a chunk of change on a decent 1st Infantry impression, but the total lack of Axis forces convinced me to switch sides. As a result, my SS impression is very much a "work in progress". Most of the Axis uniforms for this game were loaned out by myself or Joe. Also - in that photo of the youth, he's wearing my size 44 tunic and size 60 hat on his little 110 pound frame I love "impression intensive" airsoft, and have tried to host Vietnam era games, but the bulk of Colorado airsofters just can't seem to live without their digital BDUs and tac vests Maybe someday we'll get it together here...

Hopefully some more events will stimulate interest. WWII airsoft is the extreme minority in the airsofting community as it is, and I guess Colorado is one of the dry spells.
"Saints and Soldiers" eh? Sounds very cool. I remember watching the behind the scenes feature on the dvd and them talking so highly of the great job the reenactors did in that film. The opening scene (largely done with reenactors) was fantastic imo.
Anyways, those at the event may not be able to say it was the most authentic they've been too. But I bet all had fun.
