in the last game, i put ferion 134a brand gas, and all it would do is shoot another bb out and maybe 'bumb' the bolt back at least a eigth of an inch. but when u take the clip out, it cycles fine. whats up?

I had the same problem too, luckily (In a ironic way.) I dont have to care about it anymore, my bolt broke and theres no place to get a spare Maybe your bolt safety catch has become loose, symptoms on that would be that the safety goes to the right when u fiddle with it.

is it that it jams? The fact that bbs are pushing up on the bolt might cause that. that was my problem.

I'm new here, are we talking about the Marushin 8mm Garand?
If so, you can use propane/green gas (if your field allows such velocity. you will be about equal to a .20@490 FPS)
Marushins are VERY finicky. You have 2 firing pins, one for blowback, and 1 to power the BB. the O-rings in the valves tend to become dislodged. this is easy to see, there will be no gap between the pins and the striking surface fo the valves
remove the valves, coat with light silicone oil, and re-assemble.
Be cautious, fasteners can strip, and work themselves loose.
If need be,I will post some pictures of how to repair this
