well, I've decided to make one of my project priorities to make a my 2nd bat conversion garand full wood. So far I seem to be stumped before I've really gotten off the ground, I cant really find an affordable m14 stock that will fit my agm based garand. Any good sources?

Gunner airsoft occassionally has them although it is very hit or miss. Guys n Guns also gets them in from time to time. In both cases you will have to do some minor dremel work and outer finish work to get them to fit and look right. This true even if you used them on an M-14.
See Guinesses re-finish guide. The stain is reddish and not very correct. The wood itself is quite light (In weight and shade) but once finished looks great.

RSOV has them in stock again and priced quite good. I have ordered one with the intent to insure that it fits perfectly bondo adapt it into an accurate Garand shape and set up for a Garand butt plate in place of the M-14 butt plate and have them CnC produced as an option for my conversions.

The current shortened clips still show a little bit and an actual Garand mag base fits very nicely (when a clip is not in place) to cover the mag well. There is of course a short open channel to the front needed to accomodate the longer, thinner clips.

Thats what I thought, I know I've seen somebody's ""tanker" garand" conversion on the airsoftretreat forum, it was far from being anything other than a painted short m14, but his shortened magazine was completely flush with the body and still held 12 rounds I think. Mabye if you contacted him he could give you a "how to" on his style shortned mags.

I have attempted repeatedly to get his input beyond originally sharing what he came up with, but to no avail. At one point he intended to market his design which I was completely in favor of. (I'd be his best customer) Unfortunately I suspect he ran in to production issues and cost concerns.
