Well at the latest event, My M1 converted AGM didnt work, Prior to the event it worked fine, but when i put in my battery and pulled the trigger nothing, just a little sound like the battery was low and couldn't cycle it, but the battery was full and worked in other guns. Any ideas?

Murphy is an assh%^e! Double check to insure your selector switch is properly seated fully in either fully auto or semi) Failing that, try a partial reassemble. (Pop the tigger assembly out and reattach it) As a last step dissasemble and inspect all your wires to insure they are intact and connected.
Be careful obviuosly to insure you don't pinch any of the wires when you put the assembly back into the stock and as you're sliding in the trigger assembly if it hesitates going together be sure your receiver group is pushed all the way into the stock neck and flush. The trigger assembly should attach quite readily without feeling forced.

My aeg garand took a dump at the Bulge event yesterday. After firing only about 50 rounds it just stopped. It too had a full battery, no noises at all. I used my carbine (which performed far beyond my best expectations). I'll check out the aeg garand tonight to see what happened.

(Kradditz)I just realized you did your own conversion (Which is great incidently) with that in mind I think I know what your problem is:
All of the AGM M-14s come into the states cross wired so the only battery that will work with them is the one that came with the gun. (That charger that came with it is also cross wired)
I swap the gun wiring around on all my conversions so they'll work with any other common battery. If I had to guess I'll bet you tried another battery (other then the yellow battery that came with it) Another battey would clip right in but not juice the gun. That same battery would work fine in every other gun.
I'll bet that's the problem. Switching the battery leads in the AGM rifles is the first thing I do when I get them. Other makes and models from China occassionally are like this but for the AGM M-14 it is almost universal. The first time I made the discovery it made me crazy before I finally figured it out. It would work fine and then not at all.
If that's the case you'll have to exclusively use the 1200 Mah 8.4 battery that came with the gun (and use that charger exclusively with that battery) Or swap the wire leads around which is very tough without the right tool.
Let us know if that is it. The wire leads are the only problem I'm now seeing with the AGM M-14 which for me has been an excellent and very reliable gun. If you'd like some spare batteries for your rifle let me know . I have about 10o of them! I should sell them in the marketplace section for everyone that has an AGM M-14 and hasn't swithced the wires back to conventional set ups.
Yankee Division any idea yet what the problem was on yours?

If you're referring to me, it was the gun that you built (which had corrected wires, batteries and such). The gun has performed with 0 problems in the past with the exact same battery/wire/gun/magazine/weather setup several times before. I'm guessing its something simple like a wire popping loose. I didn't have time to check it out at the event and haven't looked at it yet today. I'll check it out sometime tonight or tommorow and see what the deal is.
Thanks for all the advice, that information will certainly come in handy for when my conversion really gets going. I saw biged's conversion based on a g&g and it is absolutely stunning (no suprise there), it definitely gave me some good ideas to use on mine.

Cross wired it naturally wouldn't take a charge from any other charger. Have you ever gotten that battery to work? If so I'm guessing it only worked in your M-14. Most of the AGM batteries have been yellow but some have been black as well. God knows I've got a bazillion of them.

Yankee I know your rifle is one of mine and naturally I'm concerned. (i know yours is wired conventionally) Odds are it's something very simple. The guns have proven to be pretty darn reliable so hopefully it's nothing major. Either way let us know as it will serve as a heads up for others.
If there is something chronic to make people aware of I can add it to the manual. (Create an immediate action drill section for simple trouble shooting) Probably a really good idea anyway!
