I own a spring m14 and am looking for people who would have any idea how to convert t to an m1. I have a smaller shotgun mag in it and u can hardly see it which is better than the standard box mag for the m14 but i could use a little help on the full conversion.

If you're going to go to all the trouble and expense of doing a Garand conversion step up to the plate a tad and use an AEG base gun so when you're done with all your trouble you'll have something functional.
The added parts (upper and lower Garand Hand Guard, Gas reservoir assembly, Front sight, stacking swivel, butt plate, ferrules and such are going to cost you the same either way (assuming you do it right) Plus all the time invested which will likewise be the same with a springer or a clone AEG.

I have been thinking about doing a spring M1 Garand for some time now, but it would be a tanker verison of the M1. But like 2nd Bat-The Master of AEG Garands-a AEG Garand would be the best way to go, and I think I'll go that way as well. Right now I don't have the time or money, but come round Spring of '08 I think I'll start on one.

You obviously avoided the expense of all the add on actual parts which makes sense for this effort. Given the amount invested it looks quite good. I'm sure folks are curious about how you did your shotgun clip adaptation, I know I am.

yea it just shoots like a normal springer. sometimes it will go through a card board box and sometimes it wont, same way about a can. i am deff smart enough not to dump a load of money into this 30$ springer. i wouldve bought like a utg if i was goin all the way with it. so i just used bondo, glue, saw to get the plastic stock to look like an m1 stock. i tried making my utgm14 into an m1 awhile back and i was cutting my clip down n saw how hard it was gonna be and said forget it so it is still an m14..thanks for all the good replys guy being im only 15 yo and so far gettin good replys on my work
