When your kit arrives I recommend you cut about three inches or so off the lower stock of the AZM kit. The length of the stock would be more correct and the lower stock would look at least somewhat more Garand like. He leaves the stock the length of the original M14 which further emphasizes the incorrect shape. Originally to keep the overall length right, he built a rediculous stubby upper handguard like you'd see on the post war tanker model Garand) It looked totally absurd. Now he leaves the lower stock the original M14 length and then adds a more correct lengthed upper handguard. It's a big improvement visually over the original one. He now supplies an extension for the M14 barrel. This results in a rifle that is roughly 3 inches longer then an actual Garand. Not horrible but distracting when you look at it from the side.
If you do cut the stock down you will of course have to accomodate the M14 gas tube. (or remove it) His mounting bracket does not have a hole in it so the tube could slide in and out. (Doesn't need to due to his lower stock length) It wouldn't be a tough adaptation on his kit and it would be a huge improvement. You could modify a section of your M14 gas assembly bracket
Just a tip to consider or ignore. Good luck. Let us know how it all comes out. The ACM clips should start turning back up in assorted retailers inventory pretty soon.

Thats unfortunet that he wont make the tiny adjustment to the kit. Oh well I guess you will simply have to keep providing those M1 Garands 2ndBat lol.

That's the reason I decided to get back in the game. That and the flush mounted clips. I managed to build out four more Garand conversions in the past week (sold) but have been especially busy building the shortened clips. The four sold Garands are drying right now but will go out first thing this week. (Monday or Tuesday) They came out great and will be my first ones shipped with the new flush mounted clips. I still haven't gotten back the new lower stocks.
