Hey Click , IVANHOE!!!! ;D ;D ;D Which one are you referring to? One of my friends watched one of them and said that the costumes were pretty good only, they accurately portray 15th century England and original story of Ivanhoe is set at the end of the 12th century Ok, this is WAY off topic. Maybe I should throw on some Slavic gear and take a pic or two.... Click

Retrohead, get a PC and fill out those pouches if you really want to go for the PMC look. Still, your looking pretty good!
Adler, looks nice, you have night vision gear right? Does that camo work under it?

It works sometimes , if i made a helmet cover , face mask , gloves and overboots with the camo it would work much better.

Hey Adler, on your Desert Storm loadout, how common were the new "Schwarzkopf" boots back then? I've seen a lot of pics of guys wearing black and green jungle boots. I might be wrong, wouldn't be the first time. ;D

Okay, what's a bored guy to do on a Saturday night? Put together your Army Rifleman kit, that's what! I wasn't bored enough to put together my Grenadier, M60 gunner, or Marine kits though Me the FNG. Early War. Mid-Late War. Yeah, I'm clean, pale, and also in my basement. I haven't decided on a unit to portray yet either. Sue me  Questions, comments, criticisms, all are welcome! -Tim

They had american M1's and even made their own - they went on to make a 7.62x51mm magazine fed conversion of the Garand called the BM59. They also sold Garand's to various nations in the cold war era, such as Denmark. You don't see many of them in the US though, since we didn't have to deliver those back like we did the US-made ones.

Yankee Nice impression, as for the belts of ammo, looks cool I'll admit, I wouldn't do it. It was "hollywoodized", from the m60 gunner I talked to he said if some guy gave him ammo that he was wearing across his chest, he wouldnt let it feed through his gun, because it was most likely dirty and wet and he wouldnt want to take the chance of *f'ing* up his gun while he was in the applesauce . He said that each guy kept a belt in their ruck, and seein you have a ruck that could work well. Yes, wearing belts of ammo was done, but it's overdone in hollywood and reenacting. -Nick

Not hollywood at all and not overdone in reenacting if you ask me. There's not enough guys with M60 ammo peroid. The Gunner, A-Gunner, and normally most of the riflemen carried ammo for the Pig. I've seen belts of 7.62 carried "Poncho Via" style more than I've seen them in bandoleers. I'll admit it's not the best thing for the gun though. Carrying belts in the previously mentioned methods was normally determined by a SOP and varied from unit to unit. Either fashion is totally correct for Vietnam.
