Ok, as promised, here is the 'G2' ;D
BTW, It's long, so get comfortable.....
I've noticed some traffic on this over on Arnies and I wanted to clear some things up. I have known about this for a little while but hesitated to bring it to light just yet before I did some more due diligence. As I had mentioned in GuzziHero's similar thread on the M14/M1 Garand kit on the UK WW2 Airsoft site, I hadn't posted this on Arnies because I wanted to see some product actually out there in the world. Well although that still is yet to be seen, I know that Richard has product shipping soon if if not already received. His first set of the Thompson product has already been sent to a customer in Poland.
I spent a few hours speaking with him this evening about Garand kits, Thompson kits and other things that he can fabricate in his shop. I am very encouraged and excited to say the least, more on that in a bit.
What I wanted to talk about right now is the Thompson m1928 kit, as seen on (pg 5) of AirsoftNews.EU

Richard is offering what I think is an incredible deal right now on these. For $139 USD (which is what, like 2 pounds 50 for you guys right? ) You get a hard wood buttstock, vertical forward grip, pistol grip, and the flat horizontal M1A1 forward grip and metal Cutts compensator as well. The Finned barrel is an add on option and I forgot to get his price on that, my bad- I have email into him right now, if he comes back on chat before I hit the rack I'll get all that and update this.
There is one catch however.....
Richard has asked me to be his 'agent' if you will on these- You see, He is a small business owner, very small. That is one reason we have heard rumors of production issues and the like. It's just him an a few others right now over there in the Philippines making these products.
He originally asked me to create a news thread over on Arnies about this like I did for the M1 Garand kit, However I wanted to get new pictures rather than steal AirsoftNews.EUs images. He does not have any right now, but new ones are on the way this week as soon as this run of the production samples are completed.
I told him tonight that based on what I had been hearing around the WWII Airsoft websites, that I could assure him that he would sell out quickly. I asked him specifically what kind of production run numbers he was capable of. He indicated that he currently has materials on hand for 20 sets of stocks and furniture and more readily available, and that his factory can produce 40 sets at a time.
However, he's not in a position to 'mass produce' or even produce on speculation at this time. In other words, he's only going to make what he has firm orders for. Production will likely always be 'small' but quality, attention to detail and personal service will be high.
That's where I come in.
I told him that maybe what needs to happen is someone to organize and gather orders of committed people for these. That way he can more accurately judge the demand, and also focus on the production of the products and not the 'sales' aspect of getting this going. I offered to be that person- I'm on all the 'cool' Airsoft sites anyway where information and misinformation has been going around, and since I really want to see WWII Airsoft become a viable successful thing, I have a somewhat vested interest in helping out where I can.
Understand that all I am doing is getting together folks that want to order these and funneling that on to Richard. The money transaction is between you and his PayPal account, I have nothing to do with that, also notice that there is no 'markup' or added spiff here- I'm just an order taker, question answerer, 'middle-man' if you will in place to help him get this off the ground. My job is to make sure he knows how many to build, for who, and where to send them- For you guys I will confirm your order and keep you updated as to when it will ship.
Now, a couple of questions I'm sure will be asked:
-When? Contrary to what the AirsoftNews.eu item says, these will not be available this month. He is looking at first of the year, Jan/Feb. One, because the holidays are upon us, and two, he doesn't have any real orders yet.
-Correct Receiver? His comment initially was "We'll see what demand is" when I said 'Well brother, many folks are going to likely hold off until a correct receiver is available', he told me a top bolt receiver is pretty easy to build. I believe we could push that to be an important part of this, but understand that would also add time to the production as he is set right now to make wood kits and barrels to mate with existing M1A1 type receivers.
So, where does that leave us.
As I said, he wants any and all inquiries regarding the Thompson products to get to him through me- So if anyone is interested, you can PM me here or my personal, ckalvarez@gmail.com The more orders we gather together, the faster these will be available and the more 'power' if you will we will have to drive the process, meaning the correct receiver and finned barrel along with the wood as one whole kit.
I am pretty 'stoked' as we used to say in my surfer days
Pictures the second I receive them-
Slainte!
