Looks a bit cheap

No thats a replica of a mossberg 500,1897 trench gun looks slightly different, i was going to try to modify an m500 to an 1897 trench gun were the pump is, its not as close to the body of the gun, and the trench gun has a bayonet lug. -Nick www.modelguns.co.uk/images/m1897sling.jpg1897 trench gun shown above

Yikes $12.00. Get real! It has to be hokey and cheaply built and undoubtedly underscale in size. (3/4 scale perhaps?) Certainly at that price would fall in the "TOY" category of airsoft. It would be nice if a well done trench gun was done.

I don't know what conversion you are using, but 9.99 pounds, doesn't come out to 11-12 dollars. More like 25 or so.

I think it's on airsoft atlanta, it's down the page about 1/3rd of the way. www.airsoftatlanta.com/rifle.htmIt's $30 but out of stock. EDIT: I found it on shortyusa also, go to www.shortyusa.com and do a search under spring guns for: DE M58A Tactical Spring Airsoft Shotgun There are a few reviews on it there also.

Guys, I've owned several real trench guns in my time (97s and M12s, still have an original WW1 97) and this is about as far from a "trench" gun as you'll ever hope to find... You'd have to change everything indluing the shadow to make it into one...

Actually on ASR a guy reviewed it (different name same gun) said it was comparable to the UTG shotguns, and a good performer, especially after upgrades.

Doesn't look like much of a looker or quality peice to me, may be a good option for the "$20 mosin nagant" conversions though.

This is the cheap shotgun you buy at the flea market, fun to play with in your backyard but complete sh*t for anything beyond that. Like stated before, this isn't even close to a trench gun. -Nick

My version is only 3 dollars more and features a poloroid picture of a real 1897 mounted on one side via industrial grade high tech adhesive tape.
I call it the "1897 kit"
Im taking orders right now.
