An mp-44 and and a new Luger I better start saving now Lol, really. I am too; I don't know whether to buy an AGM mp-40 now, or see how this goes, or wait and see if china comes out with a cheap MG-42

It looks like this is a cooperation between Shoei and Trigger Happy (www.airsoft-news.eu)

I wouldn't hold me breath waiting for a chinese MG/42.
SHOEI first made an AEG Stg/44 years ago, with plastic hop-up and version 2 gearbox. Then they got introduced to the ESCORT gas system, after which they decided not to do any AEGs.
Appears that this time too they have to make a Flaggrantly Wrong, thicker metal grip to cope with motor dimensions. Not that I complain.
This is a great thing. The SHOEI gas stuff is either for very experienced folks or for display use, much too delicate for me.

It's a cooperation between Shoei and a Korean company. WGC sold the original Shoei MP44 AEG kits for 500$, and back then i tought THAT was expensive Mags are most likely still going to cust a fortune

Mags are most likely still going to cust a fortune But they'll be available, that's a good thing. They use a different mag though for the AEG version so it won't help me get one more.

The original Shoei MP44 AEG and the current 'classic' use the same magazines a friend of mine had both at one point (with around 13 magazines for them O.O). Hopefully they will still retain that design.

Ack! Still no magazines for sale. Anyone that would be interested will be working with one magazine only??? That makes it none too skirmishable. A collectors piece maybe. You would think they would have some magazines available too. Patience. Maybe they'll surprise me.

BUMMER! I just bought a Star L1a1 and a real steel SUIT scope to put on it two weeks ago. My gun fund is depleted. Oh well, time to sell my M249 and the PVS-4 night scope. I have to have that MP44.

What the freakin crap!!!! $1000
I don't understand why it can't be in the regular price of AEGs?? $200-$500. They would make sooo much more $$
& also, why can't they make that new Kar98 have a higher fps!!
How can I Email these companies?

Shoei never has seemed too concerned about making their guns affordable. And I guess they don't have too. It's all about supply and demand. I would love to see an MP44 at or below $500, but nobody seems to be ready to step up to the plate.

The high price is due to the fact that Shoei's build quality is insane. I guess they just don't want to compromise quality for cost effectiveness.

It's gonna have to be one hell of a piece of work to be 'worth it'. ;D But have wanted an MP44 for years, and this is apparently all we are gonna get. At least for the near future. Without extra mags, it is little more than a conversation piece for now. I just hope that Ultima gets some spares out on the market soon.
