I am starting two ww2 airsoft teams , a German and an American team , I have about 15-20 guys ready to start geting their stuff together ,if some one is intrested in joining one of these teams or seting up a game , we will be seting up in Ohio PM me with questions , we still have several weeks before we will be able to have a game , several of us will have a period gun although ,some who are just coming into the world of airsoft will only have walmart guns for the first game .we hope to have some decent equiptment within a month of the start up . I will be taking controle of the set up of the German team and I will be looking to find some one to take charge of the American team . Send me a PM with any questions that you might have .

Two teams at once? That's a lot of responsibility.

the responsibility for the American team will hopfuly be transferd to the oldest person on the American side that hase some time , I several possible people lined up at this time , but nothing is for shure , It will still take some time to get this to work I have been working on it all winter and I would like to have a game in several weeks . several of the people attending will have the cheap Walmart guns untill they can move to the period weapons , this is just to get the slots filled and to find out who will actualy joi the teams . the two teams wi train and fight together , but for the most part it will be about 20 frends and I playing , whith the hope of more .

The reson I was thinking about doing an American unit was beacaus the people that do not whant to spend a ton of money to get started , do not have to , and there are more american guns , I realy like the British units , but I am thinking it would cost to much money to set one up , I was thinking about doing either a German paratrooper unit or a heer group probably pioneer , or some panzergrenaderi unit. any sugestions would be usefull . Thank you

I was thinking about how to finance a loner section without spending a lot fo money , and here is what I came up with , the club charges $5 per day of gaming ,members bring there own lunch and a portion of the money goes to BB's . then the Representatives of each team and myself discus which guns and uniforms we need the most , such as a loner MG42 , morter , M1 Grands , Kar98's , and so on. Dose this sound like a good idea to anyone?

Yeah I think your admission thing works out perfect! Also please have some money go to Medical Equipment (gauze). Here are my suggestions (since I joined as an inactive member):
You said you have 20 people total? 10 on German and 10 on US of course. So, we break each team in to two sections of 8, then have a Commander and "Messenger" (These two will be the HQ Section). The four Messengers are not for a tactical purpose, but to keep in contact with the other team/section for events and will also be used as Runners. Elect people's specialties in each squad. Here is what I know about US Airborne Units:
(1) Section Leader (1) Support Gunner (6) Riflemen
I of course will be the Aid-Man (Medic) and will be attached to the the unit as a whole. I will try to find some other people to do a Medical Support Section with.
Your job of course is to seal a place of property to play on. I could PM you with suggestions for props and objectives.

I have further developed my idea , after the first several games we could start a raffle on a one Allied gun and one German gun , so that with an extran $5 the people in our unit that do not have a period weapon have a chance at geting one , and once you have wone once you will no longer be able to participate , that way eventualy everone in our units will have a periond weapon and not have to spend a lot of money $5-$10 for $150 gun , this is and eaisy way to supply our fource and not fork over a tone of money , and we will still have $100 to spend on other equiptment , such as medical stuff, or custum MG42 , and 30 cals.

Dude, that's perfect! I have a Marishun M-1 Garand that I never use and have been trying to get rid of! I just don't get the "Once you get a gun you can't participate" part. Do you mean they can't go to the games/be a part of the unit anymore? Anyone Sniper, I love how you came about this and how you approached it with your ideas like this. I know I couldn't have handled it better . (First Game Suggestion: Operation Avalanche; Italy)

no the person or persons who recieves the gu or guns , may not participate in the gun raffle again , it will ba a team only raffle , so if you did not win the raffle the first time you chanses increas , then at the end of the game the members still waiting to recieve a gun will vote for the gun that they would like to see in the rafle the next time. I would not be doing this if I did not whant the members to participate in the game .

Do you have any idea how much a custom MG42 will cost? Its a ok idea, I would just get simple basic weapons, (Thompsons MP40s, Dboyi Kar98ks). Now is this your own association? Keep in mind if you are bringing your unit? to any WW2AA events there are regulations pertaining to uniforms and weapons. I would just save up and buy the weapons and proper uniforms.

Well, yes there are regulations, but they have the different color events that we can set. I did think the MG-42 was a little out-of-the-park.

Depends on whos running the event, if its WW2AA or not. Then I believe you must request from one of the Administrators permission to use the WW2AA waiver.

I thought this was going to be WW2AA, but just two units entwined. I think we shouldn't wonder away from WW2AA.

I sure wouldnt...then youd have to get a waiver made etc...Why dont you just make a really top notch US or german unit then attend WW2AA events? Saves you a huge hassle.

That's what I'm sayin . So we should have the events open to everyone, but just in case no-one shows, have it with just us so we don't have to cancel.

the raffle was going to be for MP40 ,thomsons , kar 98s that was the idea I was thinking about making a custum MG42 with my own money and time . I would like these teams to be part of the WW2AA , that is the only part that I will need a bitt of help with , how do I register my teams with WW2AA, I whant this to be part of the WW2 AA , and I whant to be able to use there reales form , I intens to start at one of the lowerlevels and move to one of the higher game levels , I intend to folow the rules in seting up these teams . can some one link me to the form , and give me some advice?dose the releas prevent the property owner from being sued , if it dose , I would be more that happy to host as may games as I can . Thank you

Register your teams by PMing a mod, and set up a thread about it in "Unit' Recruiting". It depends how you are sued. If it is illegal use of property, it does not protect against that. If it is someone getting hurt, I THINK that it protects against that. ww2airsoft.com, go to membership, then "Participation Agreement"

Like without consent of the land owner...they usually dont like that...Or fighting on public property. Im not trying to shoot you down here, but starting 2 teams is an unusual endeavour. I would just make the unit you want to portray in the field and do the best you can with that. Starting two units just means double the headaches for you. If anything I would suggest that some of your nearby airsoft buddies start a unit of their own and you guys try to get the WW2AA going near you. Id keep your airsoft games more combat less bingo/raffling.

with the eception of a few thing both airsof teams will soon be up and runing , there will be no lack of combat , I have several locations for us to play at , The only reson for the raffle is to provide weapons and impresions at a faster rate . I have read most of the agreement with WW2AA and I don't think it will be to much of a problem., I will be puting my impresion to gether soon . I like the idea of a Normandy 21st panzer division , panzergrenadier regement . I would also like to jhave some sort of an American paratrooper of Ranger team. I think this will work out ok . I do not see to many problems left to work out.
