Okay, one of my favorite paintball companies (don't worry, it's not only for paintball) just came up with their best idea...Japanese Helmets! And, they are only $16.00 and $22.00! I know, it's too good to be true. It is. Here is the one thing about it: Paintballers don't want to lug around a steel helmet over a mask. So they are made out of .090 and .060 plastic. I guess it would still be good, right? home.comcast.net/~roja/Helmets_Japanese.html

you are talking about the cush man helmets , there are not to many people that like those do to the fact that they are cheaply made , and the chinstrap is incorrect.

Yeah, that's what I mean. A temporary loaner one. I'll buy some and sell them to the USMC units at $10.00 a piece if you want.

I thought Swedish helmets were similar to the Japanese helmets an a heck of a lot more sturdy then the Cushman ones...

That looks accurate.
Mauser: When they run out, they are not making any more. So get 'em quick! That's what I mean with CCC

Look at the bottom of the Japanese Page, "September 2006: At this time we have no intention of getting any new Japanese products or restocking any that have run out."

ah, there we go.
I still don't think those CCC helmets are worth the $20+ dollars they are asking for. Not to sound ignorant, but they are obviously meant for people with no intentions of spending money on quality items.

Well, paintballers don't look for historical accuracy at all. I went to an Iwo Jima game once. The objective for us is play the game of Pantball, not reenact it. It is a good helmet for us. It is not too much, not too heavy, and doesn't get in the way.
For us, it's to have people say "Cool Jap helmet, man", not to have every detail right (and there's NOTHING wrong with that, I love it). Because if we did, we'd spend upwards of $200 every game. Paint, Air and a new uniform every time we get hit!!!
To conclude, they just look cool to them

I would save up for a Swedish one and put a star on it. Cushman's are ok if your just one of those guys who wants the WWII look, but for serious WWII Airsofters there not so good. I hope one day Airsoft will be as realistic as Reenacting.

I dont like the idea of a helmet that offers absolutely no protection or practicality. I'd feel safer wearing a pot on my head. I say go with a swedish one, or if you have the $ one from ATF, the Cushman ones seem just like a waste.

definitely a better deal going with the swedish ones. 5 bucks more than the cushman, much tougher and will definitely look more accurate.
