I just shipped my first rifle to Denmark in fact it's due to arrive there today!!!!! This thread is somewhat dated so if you're considering a purchase PM me for current details and prices. All my rifles now have the augmented additional shape in the lower stock and actual handguards and the complete front gas assembly from a real Garand. It is priced at $560.00 plus shipping with three 12 round clips In addition I now have a less expensive "Recruit" edition that uses molded rather than wood and steel pieces and is priced at $425.00 They both use the excellent CYMA 032 as the base rifle with tightbore barrel and shoot at 365 FPS right out of the box. I'm currently at 292 rifles sold! That includes about a dozen kits from the early days.

Still another batch of six rifles went out this week and in the interest of managing expectations although greatly improved from my earliest endeavors and way less expensive (They used to sell for $750.00 and up) The rifles now feature flush mounted clips and come with three when the earliest ones came with one clip and it protruded slightly below the stock. In addition the current ones have a more Garand like stock in shape and appearance than my first 200 or so and have eliminated the charging handle brace and if requested the selector switch. In spite of these enhancements they are still not exact replicas and out of neccessity still have some slght infidelities. The receiever group is not the precise and exact demensions and to fill a stock gap on the right when the selector switch is removed I create a bulge that was just not there. Also the finish on the "wood" is as good as I can manage but will not produce a Hunters sportsman collectible wall display rifle. They will look (deliberately) like a field used GI issued WW2 rifle. I cannot do the resin fill in such a way that people holding the rifle will mistake it close up as wood. It is not going to happen. In my opinion they look quite good but if your seeking or require perfection I cannot accomodate you. Not at $560.00 when most custom hand built airsoft rifles are $1200.00 plus.
I have another six rifles in production currently of which 2 are already sold and will weigh and consider how many more I will build. The clips have been espcially frustrating to acquire as have many of the Garand bits and pieces.

I agree that folks that look for a perfect custom build need to get a reality check. Besides, you have been pretty up front with your pictures and what they can expect.
With almost 300 rifles to your credit, you should consider changing your board name from 2nd Bat to just "300". Then you could get a toga to wear for your avatar. You could change your signature line to "If arrows blot out the sunlight, then all the better for I'll fight in the shade." ;D

I recieved my 2nd Bat Garand today, and I must say, it is the best airsoft gun I have ever owned. 2nd Bat had great communication and fast shipping, and he kept me informed every step of the way. I can't wait to shoot it tomorrow; the battery is charging now. Frickin' 12 hour first charge (4 am unplug ftw!).

Thank you Pvt Collins and Erstazjack. Even with lots of pictures and candid posts people sometimes imagine more than is there and that is always troubling to me. I sold a BAR replica on Ebay last week with lots of pictures and very clear discription. I built 200 clips last week and what I do is randomly pull some out of the basket and test fire them but apparently some of them shipped out don't work as they should. If anyone gets a bad clip and you're comfortable doing so try a little light filing on the front clip tab or the notch in the rear. If you're not comfortable trying that just send them back and I will replace them with functioning clips and reinburse you for the shipping.

Total production is now at 312 rifles (Or it will be) with the shipment of the most recent batch of six rifles which are going out tomorrow and on Friday. I am currently building four instead of six at a time and will continue to build them as long as the void exists for an M1 Garand AEG. The mix seems to be three-to-one for the regular version compared to the recruit edition. Most continue to be built on spec and are sold well before they are completed. I designate sold rifles in accordance to the order in which funds are received. Wait times range from 3 weeks to eight weeks and prior to placing an order I can provide a reasonably accurate estimate on delivery times. In addition I am selling one kit for every second rifle I am selling. Any manufacturer with a brain should recognize that there is definitely demand for this weapon and I continue to be amazed that none have decided to create and market their offering.
The short clips are on back order although I have enough to support the next couple batches of rifles and understand that I should get resupplied with a fresh order of 200 in the next four weeks. The molded rifles have been well received and in my opinion represent a great value at $425.00 (plus shipping)

I am now building them in batches of four at a time. (I used to do them six at a time) The current mix is about 3 to 1 with the regular version ($560.00) using actual Garand gas assembly and wood handguards vs the less expensive Recruit edition ($425.00) which uses molded parts. I try to get ahead of sales and have some on hand unsold but seldom have that luxury as typically they all sell in the six weeks or so it takes to complete each batch.
The very latest group of six went out last week and should be arriving about now (except the overseas sales which take 10 to 14 days (US Post) I aslo want to start seeing pictures of the home finished ones that used my $145.00 kits. Lots of those are getting done or have already been assembled.

Kits have gone out all over the world now and its exciting to see the finished rifles and hear from folks who have made their own! I had a couple gas assemblies (molded parts) that apparently distorted in shape during shipping which I don't quite understand. I am now shipping them on a mounted but removable barrel so the shape remains constant. I had one customer whos base rifle was the SOCOM edition M14 (The barrel on the base M14 is not long enough) He shortened the front handguard and made a tanker version which although unique was not actually an issue weapon.
I continue to build finished rifles as time permits and in fact have some nearly done that will be finished and available shortly (10 days or so) If someone wants to place an order on them just let me know.
Two parts still remain a bit elusive, the base shotty clips and the stacking swivels but I have been assured both will be once again available shortly. I have enough clips to accomodate this latest batch of six rifles. Thanks everyone for your ongoing support.
