Well I have to say that this event was great I personally had a blast and cant wait to do this next year.
For thos of you who dont know what Im talking about the Volo Auto museum located in Volo Illinois has an annual Fathers day event, and this year the owner decided to being out his military collection for display. Our very own Frank Debartollo deciced that it would be a great idea to contact the owner about having reenactors set up a display to accompany the Military vehicles that he has.
Well the short of it, is that it all worked out and the owner was delighted to have us attend the event. We set up a large German and American camp and displayed all of our gear and weapons for the public to see. The Museum had a good 1,000-2,000 people attend and I have to say that I think most of those people went through our camp as well...at least it felt like it lol.
There were many Vietnam, WW2, Korean, and Modern military vehicles as well as 2 working Huey Helicopters that we were givin full access too climb around and look at all we want (even the ones in the indoors military museums display!!!)
In these two pics we were making fun of General Mc Arthur who was inside the car
Here are some of our funny spoof pics
Inside the movie car section of the museum
This jeep was used in that horrible movie wind talkers. Were making fun of Nicholas Cage in these pics...we also killed every jap we saw without ever having to reload
John Wayne style!!
Some pics of the camp:
I also have a tone of pics from inside the military museum but i have to work on the lighting first before I post them uo.
