It's time to change the oil and kick those tires! As soon as the ground firms up we will be working on the BA-64 to get her ready for the 2009 season. Any more updates on armored vehicles? New projects started or old ones near done?

Well Joe, this is how it gets done, ww2aa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technical&action=display&thread=3561ww2aa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technical&action=display&thread=3559There are also hand-held panzerfaust devices shooting nerf rockets and Piats that have been made. If playing with mines those can be made to do the job. Grenades work great into open topped armor and specialized explosive devices can be magnetically connected to vehicles. Just don't use the close up weapons while the vehicle is moving. We don't want you crushed. Generally if using it's main armament the vehicle stops and then you can rush it.

There is a finished replica 222 in California that looks awesome. It was in the Valkerie Movie We'd love to see it at Jump to Destiny but due to the expense of hauling it up will probably not see it there.

thats no stug 3 thats a stug 4 with a 105 mm awsome! mccallion Yes it is awesome!! I wonder how a Stug III ended up in the ocean!?! The auction details said "Was raised from SEA water"!!! If it was in the ocean it is in a lot better shape than I would have expected!! I wonder if it was in a fresh water lake somewhere It's hard to say, but looking at the photos I think that not only is it a Stug III and not Stug IV I think it is the 75mm gun version as well ;D First off it is very hard to see but it looks to have three return rollers as the Stug III had and not four like the Stug IV had. I know there are photos of the late war Jagdpanzer IV's that had only three return rollers, but those always had the late war drive sprocket as well as late war idler in the rear. This one has the early war idler and drive sprocket. Too bad you can't see the the road wheels as that would make it easy to tell a Stug III from a Stug IV But if you look just under the gun barrel you can just see the drivers visor that was mounted to the front of the drivers compartment. Only Stug III's had that as the Stug IV had two periscopes mounted on top of the drivers compartment. If it does indeed have the 10.5 cm leFH 18 then it could not be Stug IV as those were only built on the PZ III chassis and received the classification of Stuh42 (Sturmhaubitze 42, Sd.Kfz 142/2) Also if you look at the interior photos of the gun breech, you will see that it is the breech of a 7.5 cm StuK 40 and not the breech of a 10.5 cm leFH 18. The are very different. The gun is also jammed in the fully recoiled position. This gives the gun barrel on the outside of the vehicle a somewhat shorter appearance, making it look like a Stuh 42, which had a much shorter barrel than the Stug III.

Generally if using it's main armament the vehicle stops and then you can rush it. that is totally awesome! i just had a thought on disabling Armour and vehicles, because they obviously are not going to blow up or anything, you place force sensors or pressure switches on various venerable parts of the vehicle, and when these get hit or a multiple of them, it cuts the juice to the vehicle, like the turret, or tracks. however you would probably need an electrical engeneer... also as to why the stug III was in the water, its really quite simple, the allies put all the german armour into oceans and lake to let the water destroy them instead of re-using them or destroying them themselves. Why it is in decent condition is pprobably because it might have came out of the mediterainean where things dont rust as fast.

Funny…That’s the second or third time I have heard that on the internet! Just goes to show you to not believe anything you read on here or even what I am saying too ;D Just the other day I saw a page on Wikipedia that had short bios of Commanders of WW2, there was an entry on Herman Goring, each entry listed the fate of the Commander, Goring’s stated that he was “Sentenced and later freed from prison due to a lot of public pressure. Became an author and promoted welfare of ex-servicemen.”en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commanders_of_World_War_IIAnybody think that is true? LOL So if you don’t believe what I am about to say, you can verify it by contacting the BATF and the State Department who overseas the importation and exportation of Military Firearms and Implements of War, the later of which, covers armored vehicles. As of right now you can import, tanks, halftracks, armored cars……anything from a Renault FT17 up to an ex Soviet MBT as long as it is demilled of course, no main armament, no machine guns, no grenade launchers. All you have to do is fill out BATF’s Form 6. I think the reason people are under the assumption that you can no longer import an AFV into the US is the fact the State Department and BATF does not allow the importation of US built AFV’s. I have heard this especially applies to Lend/Lease vehicles. I think what got this whole thing about not being able to import AFV’s anymore arose when someone wanted to import a Lee/Grant from one of the Commonwealth countries and was told that it was illegal to do so and as far as US built equipment goes “Whatever's here is here.” and extrapolated that that meant ALL AFV’s! “Whatever's here is here.” is a double edge statement too, by the way. The State Department overseas the exportation of any US built Implements of War, something I deal with here at work almost everyday and they make it VERY difficult to export something of that nature, for good reason, no matter how old it is. The only Federal restrictions that I know of are where you import an Implement of War from, BATF and the Sate Department have a whole list of countries where yes, no matter what it is, you can not import it. There may also be local restrictions which can vary from State to State as to if you can own an AFV as well. Also there are many countries, that make it very difficult for the people in that country to export the AFV too you, just as the US makes it difficult for us to export a US built military vehicle to them...... But if you want a BMP from a seller in England it should be not that hard to do! BTW:If the above is not true then someone needs to tell companies like Cold War Remarketing, Tanks For Sale and Tanks To Go, who are currently bringing AFV’s into the US that they can no longer do so.

if it doesnt have a turret and gun its considered a Tractor and is able to be imported, something new now the armor of an apc or something in that nature has to be demilled which means it has to be heated up to being red which demilitarizes the armor and makes it less bullet proof.. idk y u would need to but what ever

If I were to do another armored car, I would go with one that could also be road legal with headlites, brakelites and turn signals. It would save on the trailering troubles. One could take a running Bronco 2 or a Jeep and change the body to a lite recon armored car like a Bfz.13 The only things to remember is: you would have to keep seat belts, windsheild of some type and wiperblades in it if it's titled as a Bronco or Jeep. OH the projects one could work on if you had the open garage space and the tools!

This past weekend I trailered a 1941 Ford truck to my Wi./M.O.A. battlefield. This truck has a engine in it but is very rough so it will most likely go the way of the 1939 Ford truck I painted up to look like a German army truck and be used as a battlefield prop. There are old WW 2 era trucks sitting in alot of farmer's woods just waiting to come out and play.
Trust me, it's more fun to take cover behind a WW 2 truck than a old wood pallet.

They're still out there. Mike and I just bought another one off of Ebay. It was in North Dakota. It will be a lot of work but they are fun projects. Just keep checking Ebay or Craig's List from time to time. Save your money too. Because, what you initially pay and what you pour into a vehicle are two different things.
