I was wondering if anyone here has actually ever tried to custom build a M1941 Johnson? Here is what the gun is for those of you who do not know. world.guns.ru/rifle/rfl20-e.htm Thought it would be an interesting if not challenging build, not to mention unique.

Hmmm, I bet if I took an old ceral box some Elmers glue (the really big bottle) and PVC pipe I could make a Johnson LMG. I could use a disposable party cup as the magazine and an M-16 as the base gun. Yep should look like it lol.
Alright, for reall I have looked into maybe making one. A parts kit is out of the question becuase of the huge cost of parts, and also becuase this gun is so rare that it would be a sin to even touch one to cut it up. On that note no guns really exist that even come close to looking like it. So I dont think that its possible to make one at all.
Basically all that leaves would be an existing replica to cut into and modify, but I do not belive a replica exists of this gun. Besides this gun was so rare and saw such limited use that it is not justifyed in makeing and useing.

Who is up for a diving expedition off the Bay of Pigs? if we find the remains of the Houston we could get our hands on a few Johnson rifles and LMGs ;D .

The LMG version was also used by the FSSF in Italy. A fairly obscure rifle that would certainly not fall under the category reeanctors seem to rave about. That being, go with the norm and every day and avoid the unusual. I for one think a replica of this would be very cool albeit highly unlikely unless someone built one themselves.

you'd probably have more luck looking the local police station armories...lol...whatever is in the houston is probably corroded beyond belief.....though we did give brigada 2506 a ton of the remaining johnson products in inventory.....
