Alone, probably 5 or 6 hours. With 2+ people probably 10-18.

My brother and I have driven a number of times to NY. We would drive to other locations within about a one day route if the events were worth the trip. There may be an event in N.Dakota in the future that could be interesting.

It depends. If an event is of medium size and quality, I'm willing to pull up to eight to ten hours in a car. I'd like to drive further for medium sized events, but vacation time is too limited to spend it in a car.
If it's a small event, or something being held in a back yard, anything over two hours is too much.
I'd be willing to go much further, or even fly, were there a "national ww2 airsoft" event that everybody turned out for annually. That would justify a longer drive.

Depends on the event. I have gone 6 hours and I am going to do 9 to Ohio in August.

I flew to WA for an event. That is probally the maximum...unless I win the lottery then pretty much anywhere in the world.

Now that I'm in that lull between events, I would give anything for you NY guys to hold one this weekend... I'd be in my car in a flash ;D
Baltic Summer is in a few weeks for me and will be a 5 1/2 hour drive. That seems to be about the longest I'd be able to manage on a regular basis. The NY trip 2 weekends ago was only possible for me because I was able to split the gas and driving with 3 other guys. I would not have made the trip solo, or if the Ersatzjack Brothers hadn't already been to one event at that field. Really I'm only willing to drive more than 5-6 hours if I have people coming with me, and the field and event organizers are of known quality. I'm with Udo in that I'm not spending 6+ hours in the car to play with 8-10 other guys in somebody's backyard. This is not meant to be negative towards anybody, but is simply the cost/benefit analysis I use to determine if I am going to go to an event.
If there were to be a 'WW2AA National' event, I would have all the logistics nailed down 6 months in advance to make sure nothing could stop me from making it.

5 hours is the max I would do by myself. 10-12 hours with others car pooling.

Well currently I did around 30 hours out to New York with some others from the unit. Alone I did about 15 down to Codename Thudner, though I had a passenger for the last hour or so. I suppose those are my current limits. Several of us were seriously considering flying out to Jump to Destiny back in May, so for a good WW II event my range would probably be the whole US.

Alone, I'd drive 3-4 hours for an event, but with my buddies in my squad sharing duties, I think we'd go 8-10, ESPECIALLY for a National Event. For CW reenacting, we drive to National Events all the time.

With gas prices these days, the shorter the better!
Seriously, anything much beyond 5 hours or so makes me think twice.

For any event I travel to, I use the simple rule that actual gameplay time must be equal to or greater than total roundtrip drive time. I continualy see notices about some really interesting games, but they are usualy less than 8 hours of scheduled game time. Living in Eastern Kansas, it's tough to justify travelling 8-10 hours (one way) to play for less than a full day.

Id probably be able to do 3 hours...4 maximum. As for a WW2AA national event a 6 month heads up I can totally agree on. Franz I'm the same unless you give me plenty of notice and since of my location (Evansville,IN) possibly someone who can give me a ride (I always have gas money I pay half). For a huge event or one where most of you guys would be at I would probably fly there.

my cousin and I drove up to jump to destiny in washington from socal, took us 16 hours, we just had a rule whoever is driving buys the gas and passenger buys the beer and coffee, worked out well, we had a blast but thats probly the farthest we'd go unless we were flying.. -Eddie

When towing the armoredcar...6 to 8 hours with at least 3 in the truck to car pool with. I have driven as much as 11 hours one way towing the armored car alone, but that was only when the host was paying for the gas. When driving alone and without the BA-64, I would be willing to drive 4 to 5 hours for a full day of airsoft.

I drove 11 hours to Autumn Advance. I'd probably top out at 12 unless the event was sufficiently UBER awesome.

I would go by myself no more than 5-6 hours. With a group I'd go a days trip (24hrs). But... having a car that can make that kind of trip is hard. I'd certainly pay a fee to rent a bus with a group of 20+ guys to go really far for a week. Only if the game was large and period fashioned.
