Okay so I've never owned one before. I just got a CYMA M1A1 Thompson Hi-Cap Mag. At the top there is no round 'follower,' like the mag the gun came with. Is this normal ?
Thanks in advance,
-Greg

Yes, there should be one, it has either fallen out in the packaging or it wasn't put in at the factory, one of the cheapest places i've found for thompson mags is rsov.com, i think its 2 for $25, either send it back or find a broken mag that you can steal one from, if it has a rattle it could be on the inside of the mag somewhere but i doubt it.

High caps don't have that plastic piece. It is used in low caps to sit on the spring and push it up the feed tube inside the low/midcap. Highcaps are spring wound with a feed wheel and a reservoir that feeds the feed wheel. This is why about 20-30 bb's don't get feed into your gun from a high cap.
