Shooting this gun is a pain. The bolt is hard to cock and in such an awkward place, that you'll have to unshoulder the gun, cock the bolt, and reshoulder it just to get another shot off.
The bolt on top of the gun....
PS... I think anyway.... If it is the same one i'm thinking of.

I apologize for my confusion, but… if it is the AEG one, why would you need to cock it? Cocking the TM M1A1 Thompson does nothing but sound cool. I used to own one.
This isn’t the Gas powered one is it? And it isn’t a spring powered one… As you said, it is AEG.

Not to be mean or make you feel dumb... but did you make sure the safety is off and that the fire mode is set to single action or even full auto? Also, are you sure the battery is charged? I’m assuming this is a new gun for you?

It was charged and the safety was off and it was set to either full or single.

How powerful is the battery you placed in it? The Battery you have might not be strong enough to pull the spring back.
Also, as you already guessed, the fuse might be bad.

You might want to take it to a trusted airsoft shop and have the technical people take a look at it, that's what I would do.
