how is the switch screwed up? Theres two reasons why it wont fire semi anymore.
A) the switch is screwed up and wont allow you to select it. Remedy: repair or replace broken area...
B) your cutoff lever has worn down and it no longer does its job so your gun fires in fullauto in the semiauto position. Remedy: Guarder reinforced cut off lever for M14. Works like a charm even on the clones.

You need to be a lot more specific about what your problem is. Was this a home built job or one you bought from someone else? Did you (or they) attempt to remove the switch by cutting it off? Did you do nothing and it simply doesn't fire semi anymore? What make and model M14 did you use for your conversion? One of the replica M14s (The Airsoft Club) only fired on fully auto and didn't have a vaibale semi auto option. I find even on the rifles that fire fully auto only with trigger control you can facilitate semi auto fire (at least with a normal battery)
