Assault on Anzio ~ Nov. 14-16, 2008Our Fall, 2008 WW2 event is going to be one not to be missed. Great props coupled with an excellent mission based scenario will leave you feeling like you are back in the war your grandfather fought! This game will be held at Gerorgia Airsoft's Athens field. This is a MTO themed game, covering operations involved with the beach asualt on Anzio, Italy and the drive to Rome. Where: Georgia Airsoft Field, Athens GA When: Nov. 14-16, 2008 (Camping Friday Nov. 14/WW2 games Saturday 15/ BONUS MODERN SCENARIO FOR SUNDAY 16) Price: $25.00 Skirmish Classification: Green - WWII Impression required. Modern weapon may be used. Complete kit authenticity not enforced. Mixed units allowed within same alignment (always Allies vs Axis).Uniform Requirements: This is a WWII airsoft event, designed by and for those players who have expressed interest in this type of play. One of the important factors in creating an immerse and enjoyable WWII scenario is the willingness of participants to take on a basic uniform appearance appropriate for the era in question. You must wear acceptable WW2-inspired uniform and headgear, or risk embarrassing yourself. Players that go the extra mile to produce a good impression will be rewarded with leadership positions and some extra special missions/treats. You MUST have headgear of some kind either soft caps or helmets. Soft caps are fairly inexpensive for either side helmets somewhat expensive for the Germans however we have run two events at least a year for the last couple years so it is an investment in the future not a one shot deal. If you're not sure what is acceptable, ask! You can find complete information and registration on the main information page here: www.voodoomachineworks.com/anzio.htm

Great Raimund I hope you guys can make it.
I want to point out even though I made note of it that most of those pictures are from Battlesim's Jump To Destiny game and from the 2nd Rangers website. I used them because they were the easiest to describe what uniforms we would like to see at this event. If any of the owners want me to remove them, then of course I would do so just send me a PM guys.

Sounds cool! Thanks for posting far ahead of time enough to make plans to get there! I am in St. Louis and close enough to drive to the event! Maybe I can get some others to come as well!!
I can do FJ, SS or British Para for the event. I noticed you said British Commando but showed British Para and described British Para equipment. Did you mean Para instead of Commando or both?

We are fudging on that to allow for both. Commando and Para's. Thanks for considering coming to our event.

Oh boy!! Another event to contemplate attending. Thanks for the early notice. November is a good month to host this in Georgia. The weather should be excellent.

Yes "the south is hot as heck" thought came to mind when considering the date. I would love to see some faces I have only seen on here but I understand gas prices are horrible guys. If you can make it I would love to see you but I understand travel and all.

My car gets 44MPG on the Hwy! If I can get a few people from St. Louis who would want to go, I'd borrow my brothers RV. It's based on the MB/Dodge Sprinter van. It gets 27MPG on diesel!!

Anzio is a great battle to replicate. It was intense and involved a wide variety of units and countries. It's a long way to go for me but who knows? It would be great to repay your long visit to our neck of the woods for Jump to Destiny

Cut off will be a week before the event. We are currently at 41 players. We cut off Allied registrations for a few days as we were not getting enough Axis players but apparently that spurred some people into action.

Exactly 1 month out and we are all full up boys and girls. We are still accepting reservations via waiting list. If someone drops we will let you know. Remember ONLY registered people on the list can play. Please don't show up and hope to walk on. Also please make sure you are in proper uniform guys. This includes footwear and headwear guys. 77 people signed up at this point for those keeping score.

Is it posted somewhere and I just missed it?

Hi, I'm not sure who I need to talk to, but I sent my registration information back in mid-September, although my name is not on that list. Am I missing something, or did my information get lost in the shuffle?
