The original was quite an amusing WW2 romp not accurate but fun 70's style. Who knows what this one will turn out to be.

Interesting...that plot has nothing to do with the original. IT may be an interesting movie still. I like Brad Pitt and QT is sometimes ok.

I didn't realize the crossed arrows were in existance back in WW2 as a viable branch insignia. As I undertood it the crossed rifles were not officially accepted as the Special Forces Branch Insignia until the late 80s. I noticed Brad Pitt was wearing the First Force patch and the crossed arrows branch insignia. I did a little research and looked it up. Turns out the first force officers did wear the crossed arrows.
In the 60s some Snake Eater SOG officers wore crossed arrows unofficially in Vietnam and they pretty much all did at the Kennedy School for boys at Ft. Benning.
I also notice his Ike jacket is more in sync with the Canadian/ British tunic and again that makes sense.
Looks like a movie that will be seriously over the top but probably quite enetertaining. It will probably do well commercially. Blood and gore for the guys, and Brad Pitt for the ladies.

I like the little French guy running with the MG42 , that thing would have put him on his ass the first burst. I'll have to watch it to decide if i like it , i loved the old Italian one , it was so ridiculously '70s it was fun.

Yeah, I was wondering what coat he was wearing because the material doesn't look familiar, neither does the cut.
